Casa Bakudapa Manado — Restaurant in Manado

As you arrive it says to you expensive. The restaurant is very nice and the views are exceptional. But for us that was where the good points ended. There were no menus. We had to get the menu up on our phone to order. And we have had at least as good food with a much larger choice in much cheaper restaurants. The drinks and service were also OK but nothing special. My wife's rice was almost cold before the fish she had ordered with it arrived. Sorry, but would expect better from a place of this calibre and it was at least twice the price of most other manado eateries. Would we go again? We could well be drawn back by the beautiful views but if some things had not improved it would be the last time. The views alone are not worth the higher price...

This place has one of the best views in the city. It's quite cosy to have a drink.

However, the food and service could be improved.

Nasi goreng was oily and took a long time. The staff at the bar were bored and played with their phones, even when we approached them. It was midday and not crowded.

The bell on the table was not working. We had to find the staff to order anything.

That being said, we would come back for the view and to have a drink. For food, maybe we'll try some other food other than nasi goreng.

P.S. They have a big pool. It would be nice to swim there if only they would clean it. They also have private...

1st visit: The view of this place is so awesome. Food quite pricey. The taste is alright. But what really bothers me is the service and attitude of some of the waiters. The security guy is really nice though. (Dinner)

2nd visit: I thought the service was bad because the first time i came, lumayan ramai. Ternyata when i came the 2nd time, we were the only customers, the attitude still pretty much the same.
