Edit: I've been here 4 times now and have taken off a star as the service and food quality are inconsistent. Still great for the price you pay but our first visit was far better than the repeats. On two visits my partner got her food 10 min after me without any explanation. We've also struggled to get the waiters attention as they don't look at the tables when walking past/ were focused on there phone behind the bar Original: Very tasty food, great service and lovely ambience. They were also able to accommodate my allergies. One of the best meals we've had in Indonesia and the prices are very reasonable. We will be back to try more...

Among other eatery places in Mataram, Elf Belly is in the favorable end. Food variety is good, taste is just above average. The down fall, however, is the staff service, but likely due to incorrect SOP by the management. 4 men standing behind the bar doing practically nothing while two female waitresses busy taking orders and delivering dishes to tables. Our finished dishes literally sat in front of us over a half hour while we're waiting quite a long time for deserts to come out. None of the men behind the bar would take the initiative to help out taking away empty dishes. They prob think that's not on their list of duty...
