I visited this restaurant with my husband since we were curious about steak being cooked as katsu. When we came, one of the staff immediately escorted us to our seats (plus point!). Then, a waiter provided us with the menu and he recommended the promo sets (another plus point for the recommendation!). We then chose the Gyukatsu Attack is Back promo set (Rp206,000), which included pepper garlic cheese gyukatsu, truffle cheese gyukatsu, and tamago floss crunchy roll. I also added salmon cheese sushi (Rp31,000) since I was craving salmon, free-refilled cold ocha (Rp13,000), and iced lemon tea (Rp18,000). The prices have yet to include service charges and tax. The staff told us how to use the gyukatsu burner, where the cutleries were, and which sauce was suitable for the dishes. It didn't take long for the dishes to serve. I immediately fell for the truffle cheese gyukatsu, while the pepper garlic cheese one was a bit too garlicky for me. The tamago floss roll was okay, though I enjoyed it more with a tad of wasabi. What disappointed me was the salmon cheese sushi. I initially asked the waiter whether I could order it raw instead of seared (since the actual menu was seared not raw), and he said I could. Yet when it came to my table, it was completely cooked and tasted dry. But, once again, nothing wasabi couldn't fix. I was astonished by how friendly and active the staff were. They kept taking the finished dishes so that we could enjoy the unfinished ones without having our table too full. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch here. I would like to visit here...
Read moreI had an incredible dining experience at Kimukatsu and I can't recommend it enough. This place is a true gem for anyone who loves katsu. The star of the show is, without a doubt, their signature mille-feuille katsu, which features layers upon layers of thinly sliced pork. The result is a texture that is both incredibly tender and juicy, unlike any other katsu I've ever had. It's crispy on the outside but melts in your mouth on the inside—it's a truly unique and delicious sensation. I particularly enjoyed the black pepper katsu. The bold, spicy kick of the pepper was a fantastic complement to the rich, savory pork. It was a perfect balance of flavors and added a wonderful complexity to the dish. Their katsu is served with an excellent selection of sauces and freshly ground sesame seeds, allowing you to customize the flavor to your liking. The cabbage is also served fresh and is unlimited, which is a great touch. Beyond the amazing food, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The service was prompt, and the food arrived hot and fresh. If you're looking for an authentic and exceptional katsu experience, Kimukatsu is the place to be. I'm already looking forward to...
Read moreI guess there isn't much good Japanese food around Lombok and this is considerably good for the masses. Friendly service and food presentation is on point. Prices are relatively higher compared to other restaurants. We had the 188k set for two pax which includes grilled beef set and cheesy beef katsu and FOC sushi roll (chicken). Their beef overall is sweet beefy good. Their rice is also well-done and great match with the sesame provided. The miso and green tea is diluted. I wish the cheesy beef katsu is already cooked for us. It came frozen and after we cooked it on the grill it became a sloppy mess. The sushi roll was not authentic as it was cooked chicken filling inside, not what I expected of...
