Bavarian Haus Bratwurst 'n Grill — Restaurant in Megamendung

Super pumped I finally got to visit this place. I tried their mixed meat platter & sausages, their beef is so dang good!! Like, so tender and savoury, I could easily finish 3 portions of the beef. The chicken was also very good, but I still prefer the beef. There were 2 sausages, ones are less snappy and the other ones are very snappy. I actually like the less snappy ones as it is easier to eat and chew. Also the kebabs, I think made from meatloaf? Not quite sure but it was good, nothing spectacular tho.

Their salad barely has anything other than veggies eventho they mentioned that there would be some meat in it but so so few. The dressing is flavorful, tangy and sweet.

Their sauerkraut was a tad too salty for me.

And lastly for the dessert, I ordered their apple strudel, which was so underwhelming. I think it hasnt been baked properly as the pastry was still so pale. It was hella crumbly as well. Need some improvements.

I bought their beef wellington from their to go shop, man was it a big let down. They really shouldnt name this stuff beef wellington, the inside was just mushroom & sausage??? I felt tricked. Not recommended at all, it was hella bland.

I am an Europe raised person, having a homesick and thinking maybe this was a good restaurants to feel at home.

Wrong! The service staffs are inexperienced, cannot recommend any food, no product knowledge, even the greeting staffs are half-hearted due to lack of customers they just chatted among themselves.

Food? Bad enough to vomit. For the price they were charging I was expecting good food. Please do not visit here for the food. Slow serving time even with almost no customers, bad quality food. Even the bratwurst is a disgrace for any Deutsche person.

I told the staff my lasagna was undercooked, they just took my lasagna and pop it under the oven again, came out hot as hell and all the cheese burnt! I wonder if they know any food SOP? When I complained to the waiting staff, they just looked clueless and saying it was the norm.

I complained to the SPV in charge, and he only offered to take the menu off. No further action was taken.

Please stay off this restaurant if you wish to have a decent food. EXPENSIVE, BAD FOOD, BAD SERVICE,...

The good: Location is already near toll gate so a good spot to eat on the eay back down to Jakarta. Also not as crowded as Cimory so the atmosphere was more relaxing.

The bad: Food taste was subpar, nowhere near as good as the food at the 2 Cimory restaurants. The place is called "Bavarian Haus" but there was only one page of German food in the menu. Ordered aglio oglio, german sausage (had high expectations for this but tasted just OK unfortunately), cheese fondue, bavarian pizza, lasagna (especially terrible the inside was so watery), fussili, meatloaf, chicken wings. None of the food tasted good, extremely disappointing coming from a Cimory Group establishment. A friend ordered "fresh" orange juice and we eventually confirmed with the waitresss if the juice was actually fresh or not. When she started drinking it was apparent from the taste and color that they mixes some fresh juice with concentrate / syrup.
