Ordered tomato pasta with chicken and chicken rendang.

Pasta tomato sauce was very sour. A dish that can be easily made with store bought spaghetti and canned tomato sauce with shredded chicken. I do not recommend this.

Chicken rendang was overly rich (for my taste) with coconut milk.

Atmosphere: had constant music on from the radio, and there are a few cats and a dog. The cats and dog kept running to us as we were the only ones in the restaurant at around 7pm. Be mindful if you have allergies to animals

Service: pasta took 30 minutes and the rendang took 45 minutes to come. We pretended to not speak English seeing the other reviews here of Roys business mindset. He didn't care much about us when we pretended to not understand English. There was a group of European family that came in whom were speaking to Roy in English. I observed that he paid more attention to them, talking to them about his food etc.

Conclusion. We tried many places around Tuk-Tuk and this is a worse option than the rest. They do not have any food that uniquely stand out as well, so you won't be...

Some of these other reviews don't reflect our experience. We met Josh at the ferry (never met a Roy mentioned in bad reviews) and he offered us a room. We said we wanted to look before commiting and he let us. Everything else he wanted to sell, if we said no he was ok, not pushy at all. The food was delicious and he had good tips about the area. The room was a beautiful wooden hut with a private bathroom for a very good price. Staying at the ferry is what he does to meet people, as it's off the main track so how else does he let tourists know about his restaurant? Well all I can say is listen to all the bad reviews this place has they are all true 100% he is just after your money. Just done us for 700000 supposed to be an island tour. He took us about 5 km to where he knows the road has fallen in a landslide 5 months ago then we get out the car walk half way back and wait for half an hour for the driver to get us again.
