We ordered: lobster saus tiram, telur dadar, omelette, capcay, grilled petay and ikan bakar. I didn't try the ikan bakar but my mom said it was good. The "lobster saus tiram" was good. Maybe a little too spicy for those who cannot handle spicy food. I especially love the omelette because it has the right amount of chilli. A little warning: most of the food are spicy, so make sure to adjust the level of spiciness that you can handle. Cons: the cah kangkung has toooooo much ginger in it. I could barely taste the kangkung itself 😔. I didn't know they would put that much ginger in big slices too. If I knew, I would ask them to go easy with the ginger. Also, the chef (or owner?) refused when we asked for fried petay. She said that of they did that, they would throw away the entire oil they use for frying the oil. We found this kinda odd because in Jakarta, most seafood and other restaurants, which have/display petay in their resto/menu have no problem with this. Well anyway, we agree with grilled petay bcos basically we just didn't want to argue and ruin the mood. For 1 portion of ikan bakar, 2 portions of cah kangkung, 1 portion of medium size lobster, 1 portion of capcay, 1 telur dadar, 1 omelete, 1 jus terong belanda, 1 kelapa hijau, 6 portions of rice, 1 hot tea and 1 iced water, we spent like IDR 704K. Pro: owner said the bananas are free for...
Read moreIt was helpful that Ana the owner could converse in English and recommended some very good dishes. We ordered their signature sauced lobsters, ikan bakar, chap cay and terung bakar. It was delicious! The portion were surprisingly generous for 2 pax but we managed to finish it. The local condiments (i like their home made sambal tuk tuk) were fabulous. Each dish were reasonably cooked/ charcoal grilled upon ordering so expect to wait. But otherwise, this is one Indonesian cuisine that’s prepared with much effort, spices and bursting with culinary flavours and oomph! Worth visiting if you...
Read moreI had a very weird experience here. I came without research and found out this place wouldn't suit my breakfast/brunch needs. I asked if the waitress knew a place to get breakfast. She pointed across the street and so I went. Upon being there I asked a guy with a tray that I wanted some breakfast. He said OK and went on with his business. So I waited for him to return, wich he did twice. He completely ignored me and after a while I checked where he came from. The man was walking across the street to get food for the tables there....
