Amazing location, beautiful decor and tranquil vibe. However I ordered a Nasi Goreng and the chicken satay sticks came out uncooked and visibly raw. Luckily I noticed before touching them and obviously didn’t eat the chicken. When I informed the staff they didn’t seem overly bothered and I was still charged full price. Before I could send them back a cat ate one of the chicken sticks, I then sent the other back which they tried bringing back to me after cooking for a bit longer - by this point I really didn’t feel in the mood to eat it. I did however eat the vegetable rice and the crispy spring rolls which I cannot complain about, but the chicken episode really let the whole experience down. The staff at Agung Beach Club were friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant experience. While the food may not have been the absolute best, it was still enjoyable, and the prices, though not cheap, were definitely worth it for the experience and ambiance.

It should be emphasised that the Beach Club is not comparable to typical modern beach clubs. The atmosphere is more reminiscent of an old pirate's lair, as seen in films from the 1980s. But that is precisely what makes this beach club so cosy. There are many different corners and nooks to sit in. The service was super friendly and the tuna tartare was excellent. The chicken and pineapple pizza was also very good. Everything was very reasonably priced. The location, slightly away from the main beach by the mangroves, seems a little far away at first, but the road to the Beach Club is paved throughout, so it is still easily accessible.
