One of the best in Nusa Penida. This place does not fall short of anything but amazing.
Interior and Design: This place has a unique contrast design where the top area is nice packed and clustered together, and the bottom an explorababe open space. But once you go down the wide open grand stairs, you are introduced with a variety of options of seating areas in open space areas next to the unique abstract design of the pool. There are sunbeds, round tables, bar seats, beach seats and more... Everywhere you stand in this place will sure give you an amazing photo for instagram.
Note: The lights create for an amazing night vibe. It also something definitely worth checking
Food and Taste: This place is not only visually beautiful but also have great food. We decided to opt for more of an Italian dish with ordering pasta and pizza. The tomatoe sauce base that is both in the pizza and pasta is absolutely delightful. My pizza was accompanied with Ginger Beer and the drink was perfectly balanced with no elements overpowering each other.
Price: This place potrays itself as "Grand and Luxurious" so hefty prices are expected, but yet they were not overpriced or a "rip off". Menus prices are well reasoned (especially with the quality food you will be getting), and are actually cheaper than most places in Bali like Canggu and Uluwatu. THERE WAS NO ENTRANCE FEE AND MINIMUM SPEND. So this was big points to them for that. However, like most places, menu prices are shown pre-tax and are still subject to a 17% govermental and service fee charge.
Service: Waiters are responsive and well trained. They are welcoming and very informative with showcasing areas to have seat at. When you order a group meal, you can expect the meals to arrive at the same time (which is very rare to find in Indonesia).
My advice: For the Grandma Pizza, make the Gnocchi smaller to it's more traditional size. When taking a bite out of it, it's just too mouth filling and sometimes imbalance the taste. Don't use plastic cups. Everything was on brand and on high quality portrayal with cutlery. It was very odd that they used plastic cups Cover up or pack away pillows and beds. Because of previous night rain, some places were not seatable due to it still being wet. This therefore limits the exciting options they have for outdoor seatings
Conclusion: Despite some mishaps, this place is still worth visiting and will definitely be...

Entrance and Consumption: The entrance is free, but you need to spend a minimum of 200,000 IDR for the sunbeds.
Ambiance and Service: The place is stunning, with very polite and helpful staff. The pool is magnificent with a breathtaking view. The atmosphere is calm, with a few families and good background music. Thanks to the cushions on the water, we were able to relax so much that we dozed off. The other guests were very calm and respectful. In the evening, an excellent DJ added to the overall ambiance.
Food and Drinks: We had an avocado tartare with nachos. The guacamole lacked spices, but with a bit of salt, it was good and very fresh. For drinks, we had a Citrus Mint Julep, which was just excellent. Note that you cannot bring your own drinks or food. If you have something with you, you must leave it on a table at the entrance, but don't forget it when you leave, as we did!
We also had dinner on-site. Everything was really good. We ordered Thai chicken rice, a shrimp dish, and red mullet cooked over a wood fire in a banana leaf, accompanied by some vegetables (if you don't like lemongrass, avoid it). Note that the chicken and beef are halal (according to the staff). The drinks were delicious. For dessert, we had a lemon meringue cheesecake, churros, and a chocolate meringue tart. As Belgians, we wanted to see if it was really good Belgian chocolate, and we were pleasantly surprised. Everything was excellent.
Cleanliness: The toilets were the cleanest we have seen since we arrived here. One of our friends saw the kitchen and confirmed that it was also spotless. The entire establishment is very clean.
Cactus Beach is a place we...
