A relatively new place for having breakfast or lunch with local traditional cuisine options. The atmosphere is very Javanese style, with lots of greenery, therefore relaxing. Expect it to be crowded during meal hours, especially during the weekend. Parking is quite challenging since it is located in a narrow alleyway; be sure to visit during regular time to avoid crowds.
Food options are varied but limited to unique ones. The chicken menu options are recommended; others, such as the pepe and veggie menus, are tasty and have good presentation, as well as being displayed buffet-style. White rice and red rice options are available. You should also try the snacks such as fritters and pukis by request from the cashier. There are quite a few options of unique traditional beverages.
This place can accept cash and QRIS payment. Pay after grabbing your desired menu options from the buffet and ordering drinks.
Nice place to get breakfast or lunch; would revisit...
Read moreI went all the way to try this eatery and it didn’t disappoint! The Garang Asem was so spectacular! Telor dadar gulung was average though. Since came on the late noon (3pm) near closing time (4pm)so many dishes are already sold out and I do not have many options.
They do it the ‘prasmanan’ style whereby you can take rice and any vegetable dishes as much as you like with the side dishes (meat, egg and other protein) charged per piece. The dishes are comforting, very good and fresh. Servers are also friendly, helpful and have humbling attitude which is a very traditional Javanese trait.
It was so good that I had Nasi Gandul to go. The place has good cooling air because of the Kaliurang area. Es susu tape is one of the best too.
You can be seated outdoor and indoor, it is a free seating place.
Would definitely return the next time...
Read moreHad lunch here on a Saturday, the place has a fun, open-air concept surrounded by rice fields, giving off a relaxed and refreshing countryside vibe. It’s a great spot if you’re looking for a dining experience close to nature. The atmosphere is lively, especially on weekends, and there are plenty of staff members, probably because it gets quite busy.
The food and service were fairly standard, nothing extraordinary, but decent for the price. It’s definitely more about the experience than fine dining. Prices are affordable, making it suitable for families or large groups.
