Sukiya Bintaro Plaza — Restaurant in Pondok Aren

Sukiya has already opened in Bintaro since 2017. Basically it has same menu like in Tokyo with variety of gyudon and katsu bowl. I ordered black pepper gyudon with half-boiled egg and my wife ordered black pepper chicken katsu.

Black Pepper Gyudon: The meat is soft, the rice is fluffy, and the seasoning is tasty too. The seasoning in the gyudon tastes like a mixture of salty and sweet taste from the broth, together with their half-boiled egg when mixed, makes the gyudon rice taste even more savory. The texture of the meat is also not tough and easy to chew. The gyudon flavor is stronger and more fragrant because they also add the onions. The black pepper sauce is a little spicy, peppery and hits the spot just right.

Black pepper chicken katsu: Chicken is tender however a little dry. I love the way the panko crumbs give it such a great crispiness. Basically the same black pepper sauce just like in gyudon I ordered.

Price perspective, Sukiya is quite reasonable with around Rp. 35.000 to Rp. 45.000 for a complete menu. Service time also quick, only around 3-5 minutes. No queuing, because they implement the physical distancing due to Covid-19. We were asked to seat first and order at the table. By far, Sukiya is my favorite beef bowl restaurant in Bintaro. they have a nice place, you may order on the table, and they have a relatively friendly service.

the last time i go there i ate gyudon beef set. well, the set is gyudon, croquette and the sauce, miso soup and drink. I really love the gyudon, they serve it in a big portion well i can't argue with the taste, it's very good, and if i should give a comment on their croquette and the miso soup too, i will just say that i'm not a fan of their croquette and miso soup.

after the set i also order the dessert "fruit pop manggo vanilla" i love the ice cream and the manggo sauce though not the bread which taste like failure wet ginger bread/failure "bika ambon".

the price is moderate and they also accept payment with card. i haven't other food from the menu, but i think i will do that the next time i go there.

Saya sering order Sukiya selalu melalui aplikasi traveloka. Ada beberapa alasan saya memberi bintang 2, yaitu :

Tidak pernah baca notes. Di notes setiap makanan sudah dituliskan bahwa saya tidak perlu alat makan dan saus karena menurut saya packagingnya memakai terlalu banyak plastik (sumpit dan tissue dimasukkan ke kantung plastik bening secara individual dengan jumlah makanan yg di pesan, disertai saus dan bubuk cabai yg ditempati di plastik kecil berbeda lagi. Contoh, saya beli 6 menu makanan, diberikan 6 paket alat makan yg berbeda). D beberapa kali saya pesan selalu dibawakan alat makan. Saya mengerti bahwa packing alat makan yg di tempatkan seperti ini dilakukan dalam usaha menjaga kebersihan di masa pandemi. Namun, saya sudah sertakan notes agar tidak dibawakan alat makan, karena saya ingin membantu mengurangi sampah plastik dan mencegah makanan seperti saus dan bubuk cabai agar tidak terbuang.

Makanan tidak lengkap. Sudah 2 kali lebih saya mendapati orderan saya tidak lengkap. Bahkan pernah saya order di aplikasi dicharge sesuai yg saya pesan, namun di bon pembelian kurang 1 menu, sehingga saya di charge lebih.

Saran saya, tolong lebih teliti dalam membaca orderan customer, terutama yg mengorder dengan aplikasi online dan juga tolong baca notesnya secara lebih teliti. Berikut saya sertakan foto kumpulan sendok plastik, saus dan bubuk cabai yang hampir tidak pernah saya pakai....
