Barakuda Restaurant — Restaurant in Pulau Bali

Expectation management is the important key. The place is run a couple husband and wife with stock supply based on catch of the day. We were there during dinner time and there were only left with fish, prawn and squid with some small lobster. My personal take is skip the lobster and take the shrimp instead due to the value and portions.

The environment is not very clean and there were many lizards.One pooped on my younger sister pants and she shrieked.There were also rats and a crab,which hid in a hole that leaded to the paddy fields and sometimes came out of the hole .The food was yummy especially the fried squid.On the other hand,the French fries were not very tasty because first of all, it wasn’t salty ,secondly it was soggy and not crispy like what I thought and last of all it was like mashed potato inside and it tasted bad even with ketchup.The service was good and they served you fruits at the end of the meal as we were the only customer for dinner. For 6 adults and 3 kids , we took 2xseafood package and added another shrimp, vegetable and 2 chicken portion. Every is stuffed .

My partner and I were in a mood for seafood, but we wanted really good quality seafood. We came here, and it was empty, which made us think we’d made a mistake. We sat down, and the kind man suggested the seafood for 2, which was 300k ($30AUD). Also, I am pregnant, so I asked for everything to be well cooked, which usually means all the flavour gets cooked away… When it came out, it was everything we wanted and more! There were two types of fish, and both were well-cooked, but still so so flavoursome! There were four sauces, all of which were delightful, including some garlic and vegetables, some sweet and sour arrangement, a chilli one and another delicious vegetable one.
