Padmasari Resort Hotel — Hotel in Pulau Bali

Actually they have a good room, i booked a junior suite ocean view room. The room is clean, but smell damp. The ocean view is nice. But, we were very dissapointed with the service. I called the hotel almost 2 weeks prior our stay to reserve for a boat to see the dolphins (coz lovina is only famous because of this dolphin tour). The hotel said that we don't need to make the reservation for boat coz we can just reconfirm when we're check-in at the hotel. When checked in, i paid for the boat. But unexpectedly at night, the hotel staff informed us that there's no more boat available for morning schedule (6.00 AM). We were upset (because the dolphins usually appears in the morning), they said that the available one is only for 8.30 or 9 AM. After a little argument, they finally told us that they will provide the boat in the morning. The next morning, we had to walk along the beach for appx 500m to get to the boat, but kind of annoying when we were walking, the boat capt kept rushing us to walk faster. "Cepet, cepet" (We're the one who have waited him at the beach, while he is the one who came late.). After that, we were heading to the ocean to watch the dolphins, my son was very exciting at the beginning. We found so many boats with tourists were having fun chasing the dolphin just like us. But less that 30 minutes of excitment, my boat was heading to the opposite direction from the other boats. When i asked him why, he said that the boat is heading back to the hotel. We were shocked, coz the other boats were still having fun chasing the dolphins and literally no boats were heading the same directions as our boat. We were confused, the capt said we shud be arriving at the beach at 8.00. This was ridiculuous coz we booked and paid the price as they asked, not less. But why we shud be back to the beach earlier than others? It appeared that they had to pick the next guest at 08.00. But this wasn't supposed to be like that. We have planned this trip for long. When I confronted him why only our boat that have to get back to the beach while it was still less than 30 minutes chasing the dolphins (not the normal duration that it was supposed to be), he seemed bothered. Then suddenly he turned the boat and speeded up towards the crowds of the other boats. We were scared, especially my son coz the water was hitting our face due to high speed. My hubby begged him to get back to the beach since the situation was getting so uncomfortable and endangered us. I felt sorry for my son coz at the end he couldn't enjoy the dolphins that he's been waiting excitedly for this moment to come. I complained to the hotel, but what they said was just only "sorry" after ruining our trip. Yeah, they were the one who gave me this "last" boat so it was kind of possible that they might have known about this less-than-30 minutes-dolphin- tour. Thank you anyway for...

I was very happy with Padmasari, it is a lovely, well-kept property with very friendly staff. They start breakfast at 7am, and has options that cater to western taste. There are Indonesian options of fried noodle and friend rice w. egg also. The hotel does a complimentary shuttle service to and from the center Lovina area if you're interested in exploring. I also wanted to go to the supermarket near the center and they happily took me and waited while I shopped and purchased my provisions. My room was very spacious with a very comfortable king size bed and a good size bathroom with a walk in shower. I had a room on the 2nd level overlooking the pool, the balcony is also very spacious but there is no furniture to sit on, although it get pretty HOT, HUMID and VERY RAINY in the Lovina area because of its position next to the sea, so I don't know how much people want to sit outside. The televisions get limited channels, but I wasn't there to watch TV. The highlight I would have to say is the SPA! I did a 4-hand 90-min massage (BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE). I had 2 women working on my body simultaneously - one on my lower body the other on upper body and they were both VERY STRONG! If you like a good firm deep tissue massage you're going to love their spa staff! They are great! If you're a wimp, let em know to go easy on you. The Spa is also so affordable, I was happy to use that facility. The hotel also can arrange your car service to the airport or other parts of Bali. They also can arrange the Dolphin tour, let them know the evening prior and you have to leave at 6am - although I didn't get to use that service because the weather /rain and wind was so bad. I appreciated this hotel also being away from a lot of tourist and salesmen along the beach. You can sit seaside without fear of being bothered. Overall I am very happy for my hotel selection in Lovina. After I visited Lovina however I went to Ubud and Seminyak - I am glad I visited the area - but I honestly would not visit...

I booked very late and not sure if I got an expensive or normal pricing, the suite was really good, would slightly say not worth the money but I think it can be cheaper than what I paid for.

In the suite you get a private pool, a massive TV.. Bathtub, overall was probably the most luxurious room I could find in Lovina. I could only get a twin bedroom but the bed was still nice enough for 2 people.

The staff was extra helpful probably as they knew we were having the suite, but generally Indonesian people are just so nice.

I heard that you can be picked up by a boat for the dolphin watching but I booked before arriving with a different provider.

My only issue that in the morning I needed a car for the dolphin tour, the late night receptionist didn't understand enough English and couldn't help me, grab doesn't work and I requested her to call any car service but she didn't understand and didn't help AT ALL which was annoying and surprising considering how everyone else was just very helpful.

That aside everything else was great, breakfast is nice, pool is not warmed so in cold rainy season it's very cold.

Their shuttle car from 1 PM until 9 PM is veru very convenient and can drop you anywhere or pick you up from anywhere, which makes the location of this hotel not troublesome at all.

They seem to have a nice rooftop but I think due to the rain it wasn't being used.

There were lots of people amd families and I think it was fully booked but I didn't feel crowded or annoyed with the amount of people at all which was surprisingly nice.

One last thing, I did have an allergy indoors from the AC air, and sneezed a lot every time we close the doors or windows, it was only me not my wife so can't tell if that was on me or the AC...
