I walked by this café and was immediately attracted by how beautiful it looks from the outside. Inside, the interior really impressed me: lots of greenery, a small garden where you can sit on the grass, and a lovely view of the rice terraces. The atmosphere is wonderful, light and homely — it feels like a picnic in nature. For this, I would definitely give 5 stars.

The menu is small, but you can find tasty options. I ordered Eggs Benedict, which was well prepared, and I didn’t mind the bread instead of brioche. Unfortunately, the avocado was disappointing — it was dark and bitter, and even after replacing it, the problem remained. First they brought me mashed avocado on top, it looked quite green, but once I started eating, I found black pieces inside and a bitter taste. I asked for a replacement, and they brought avocado slices. The waiter showed me the plate and said that this was the only avocado available. At first glance, the slices looked green, though a bit dark, but I didn’t see how they looked underneath. When I started eating, I again noticed the bitterness, turned the slices over, and saw that they were all black underneath. In the end, I had to refuse the avocado because it was impossible to eat. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo.

The service left mixed feelings. Most of the staff were gathered at the bar, and I had to stand up 3–4 times to ask for the menu, change something, or order coffee. Overall, I felt a lack of attentiveness, and from one waitress in particular there was some tiredness, unfriendliness, and even passive-aggressive behavior, which spoiled the impression a little. I do understand how difficult working in service can be (I myself worked in restaurants for years and know how hard it is to give energy to guests when you are not in the right state). Still, I truly wish the staff could be more in contact with guests — it makes the atmosphere warmer and encourages people to come back.

I believe this café has great potential if the service improves. Even with fewer waiters, if they rotate rest and work, they will have more energy to give to guests. Checking on tables more often, offering drinks or desserts, asking if everything is fine — all of this would improve the experience for guests and also increase the café’s revenue. If the staff receive service charges or tips, it’s in their own interest to raise the average bill by being more attentive.

Overall: • Atmosphere, design, location — 5+ • Food (without avocado) — 4 • Service — 3

The café itself is truly beautiful and unique, and I sincerely hope the service will match the high level of the place. Then it will definitely be a spot people want to come back to...

Nice little place recently opened in an area where the choice is limited. Amazing rice field view and thoughtfully designed space with decent amount of motor-bike and car parking out front. We stopped in for coffee and pastries and sat on the lawn with the great rice-field view. Service was warm and friendly. As the place is new a few thoughts which might be helpful: For the almond cream croissant a bit less cream and a bit more solid would be great - just too much cream (see photo). For the outdoor tables buy a few tissue paper/napkin holders so that there's one on each table - we had to go hunting to find some. Coffee was expertly prepared but a little bit sour compared with coffee from other nearby cafes. There's an amazing selection out there so making sure to get this right will be good.

So - small small points - otherwise a great experience. Hoping that this little cafe will thrive and be a feature on this fast growing street. Thanks for a...

The cafe looked very nice from the outside, so we decided to go there for breakfast. Many people working on their laptops inside, so it’s good for coworking as well. They’re kinda blocking space though. We went outside, so it wasn’t an issue for us.

Everything is self service, so youngsters to go to the counter inside to order. Despite there being 4 people behind the counter basically just taking up space 😅

Food arrived quickly and was alright but boring. Very plain. Not spiced at all. The tea was good though.

Prices are slightly higher compared to other spots like this.

I would recommend to go for...

This is one of the cafés I enjoyed the most. It’s not located in the center of Canggu, you’ll need about a 10–13 minute scooter ride to get there, but I promise it’s absolutely worth it. The place has a lovely terrace overlooking the rice fields and a menu that is truly interesting. The dishes available are all well-prepared. My top recommendation is their famous avocado toast: it’s huge, you can add all the toppings you like, and it’s big enough for two people to share. On top of that, the coffee is excellent. I definitely recommend this spot, both for the food and for its beautiful location.
