Went to Kani today, spent +200k for 3 pax

The food in general taste salty, as in too salty no depth to it. Going over the menu I'm left feeling a bit confused on what's their specialty is due to its various selection.

We ordered: Rawon, +The mount of beef inside is pleasing It tastes nice, but it doesn't taste like rawon.. it just tasted like a salty beef soup Suggestion: be bolder on the seasoning, and I feel with the price tag you can include half of salted egg.

Aglio olio, -it was bare salty, and when I said salty like so damn salty. Both the past and the chicken

Chicken nanban, Decent taste on the chicken standard as other restaurants

Mini wonton, Decent, a bit soft for my liking

Kroket, +Nice cheesepull, decent filling

All the review above didn't consider the "worth it" aspect if matched with the price

Service, could do better in order of food delivery, example: drinks and snacks first then followed by the meals. We got our foods before our drinks and snacks which is kinda off but not a big deal

Overall, nice place and ice cream, however expect a cafe grade food...

After trying several gelato parlour in Semarang, I must say this is the best gelato and most preferred by my kids. We love the 'unusual' variety flavors such as "dragon fruit & soursop", "black charcoal", "beer bintang", "yakult" and many other unique flavor.

The price is very reasonable for Semarang. The place is clean, comfy, cozy and modern. They have a number of photo corner which is instagramable.

Now they have expanded the place and have a new addition: Kani Kitchen. I tried Nasi Campur Bali the other day and highly recommended. My son orderred Nasi Goreng Jawa and he said...

Baru banget sabtu kemaren mampir sini bersama keluarga untuk ke sekian kalinya.. dan kali ini saatnya perlu buatin review jujur-nya nihh..

Lokasinya cukup strategis, di daerah Tembalang, which is ini daerah udah macam kota Semarang Baru di wilayah atas.. udah penuh sesak dgn kawasan pemukiman/ perumahan, kampus, hotel, apartemen, dan pusatnya kuliner.

Tempatnya cukup cozy, nyaman, dan tersedia meja berukuran lebar yang leluasa untuk dipakai beramai-ramai. Tersedia 2 lantai, lantai bawah full AC, dan yg di atas terdapat spot outdoor yg bisa akses lgsg ke teras menghadap ke parkiran dan jalan di depan.

Menu gelatonya variatif, banyak banget pilihan rasanya.. Terakhir kemaren kami ambil 2 menu yg el-duo cup dan 1 menu yg el-trio cup.. Sengaja kami variasikan rasa-rasa nya.. dan hampir semua nya enak.. Anak-anak juga cukup senang merasakan varian rasanya, dr yg manis, asem sampe yg seger semua ada..

Harganya sih cukup terjangkau.. gak bisa dibilang mahal, dan gak juga murah.. pas lahh, untuk gelato dengan kualitas yang worth to try ini..

Pelayanan cukup baik, terutama dlm menjelaskan varian rasa gelatonya. Staf jg cukup ramah dan sopan..

Area parkir cukup lah, untuk 4 mobil dan beberapa motor masih bisa muat.. selebihnya perlu parkir (mobil) di pinggir jalan.

Recommended banget bagi pecinta...
