A nice addition to nusa loka dining destination serving localized italian cuisine with traditional casual comfort style service. For me, The ambience was fine (7/10); considering how hot BSD has been lately, I would consider adding more ACs as I was feeling kind of hot where I was seated
The service was also fine (6.5/10) Considerably fast. I personally did not feel a heartwarming service from the servers but I don't really expect more
The food was a hit and miss (some good, some not so much, so 7.8/10) The pizzas that I ordered were margherita and montanara: they put the basil on the margherita before cooking and therefore I could not smell the scent of fresh basil wafting through the air when it reached our table. But the montanara was really enjoyable, albeit a bit fatty from the smoked beef bacon render, I especially liked the cheese combination which included blue cheese.
I also had the spinach ravioli which was wonderful, they didn't hold back on the truffle oil drizzling which is a big plus for me, and the filling was just spot on, a work of art of homecooked food.
Can't say that I enjoyed the arancini nor the bruschetta though; I felt that the arancinis didn't have a character, but I do like the pesto they served along with it. And the bruschetta also didn't help in raising my palate, which is what appetizers are supposed to do.
And the lasagna: the sauce and the filling would be truly amazing if only it wasn't brought down by the pasta that was way overcooked.
So yeah overall, I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family as I think the price is fair for the product.
Will come back again some day to see if they...
Read moreIt honestly feels like a hole in the wall restaurant in Italy. The atmosphere is really cozy, the outdoor terrace is pretty, and you can see inside the kitchen, albeit small. It was just really hot in the afternoon. The service was excellent, food was served really fast and the waitress was helpful. We ordered 1 salad, 1 pizza, 1 pasta, and 2 drinks totaling to below 400k, which I think is reasonable, especially for the quality...
... which surpassed all expectations! The latughino salad, I can write an essay about it. The ingredients were very fresh, crisp romaine with no wilted parts whatsoever, and they use high quality cherry tomatoes: sweet and plump. Idk if it is by design, but the crouton pieces were small, and it added a nice crunchy surprise when you bite, instead of sharp chunks that hurt your gums. The eggs were boiled perfectly, soft boiled but not runny, awesome for a salad. And the dressing of anchovy mayo was divine, umami, salty, tangy. Although you have to like ancovies, since it is understandably fishy. My only complain is the chicken was a bit dry
The gorgonzola tagliatelle was also very delicious. I think bacon is not a good pairing since it overwhelmed the taste, but the cheese sauce itself was awesome. And they make the pasta themselves, which thickness and doneness really to my liking
The pizza crust was really good, got the perfect bite, crunch, and texture. The sauce to cheese ratio was golden, we got cheese pull. The topping was good as well
If you are in the area, I really...
