COVID-19 prevention is strict in here: temperature check at gate, outside hand washing and second temperature check before entering. Visitors and employees must wear masks too.
Quite surprised there's a place like this in Berastagi or maybe it's just newly built and well hidden. We're supposed to go to the cow farm but alas it's closed for renovation at that time but the restaurant is still serving the milk produced there so this review is only for the restaurant.
Ambiance was cool and serene, as expected when you're at the mountains. Big windows all around, high ceilings and there's a smoking area outside with a view (view is not that great), open-kitchen too so we can see how they made our food. Food wise, we ordered potato wedges, margarita pizza, plain milk and milk with honey. It was pretty decent for the wedge and the honey milk, the rest of them were pretty meh. You got 8 slices of New York-style pizza but the flour they used was different than usual and they use their own milk to produce the cheese they use as toppings but it's kind of weird tasting to me (to each own preferences).
All in all, it's a good place to hangout with groups or date but don't expect too much for the food. Will come back...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA very nice place to stop by. We (me, hubby and a toddler) loved the atmosphere there. Great view and air when you sit outdoor while having your drinks. We had a hot rempah milk coffee (the rempah is stronger than the coffee but it's alright), a hot sanger coffee (approved though the smell isn't strong enough), and an iced fresh milk (BIG glass with lots of ice cubes! My son finished it in two hours. LOL. We had it takeaway.)
Too bad the gelato is unavailable. Too bad the tester cheese was never out though I was interested to buy the andaliman cheese if it matched our taste.
Anyway my kid was happy being able to run around the grass field and walked to the cow farm.
Entrance fee (including car park) is Rp 10,000. The restaurant price is alright. Many cafes in the city center (Medan) are worse than here.
So, do we want to come back? Absolutely yes. Besides, the road (the 4-km-winding alley) to this place is full of interesting spots like strawberry fields/sellers, a huge vihara, and scenic photo spots. Also, not far from the main road there's a camping ground with flying fox! Looking forward to try...
