Depot MIMI — Restaurant in Surabaya

1 star for service, when I arrived I didn't know how to order and it was super crowded, no queue line, no instruction just a band of people trying to order to the waiter, I tried to ask where can I order, but sadly I was ignored by their waiter. I patiently waited for like nearly 10 minutes just to place my order however someone keep cutting in front of me for ordering. I think the only correct way to order in this place are only by talking to the cashier, since they are the only beings who responded me. I spend like 20 minutes just to place my order luckily the food process arent that long.

3 stars for atmosphere, since it is an open area so it is common for smoking, which could ruin the food taste, also I saw people were rushing to fight over a sitting spot, therefore I dont think I wont get any table since I visited there by myself alone. Some came with a party of 2 so they have someone who can reserve the table while the other ordering the food.

Suprisingly the food taste are good not gonna lie with their shredded beef and rice, and their classic snacks are also good with reasonable price so it is a worthy 5 star for the food.

Overall my first time experince might be a better one, if they actually have a better service and instruction for a first timer. I dont understand why the waiter were being so rude when I asked "where should I order?", they only gave me a cold hard stare and proceed to other person who keep cutting the queue. I guess their waiters only listen to people who likes to scream or loud noises.

So if you are the owner please be kind with a first timer like me who aren't familiar...

Below is my review 4 years ago. But I have been their regular customers more than 15 years ago... literally.

One of the best Lontong Mie in my opinion. And also having so many dishes where you can choose and mix yourself, made us never bored to eat here. Lots of staff to help, makes it a homey vibe resto.

Always crowded start from they open early morning until close around 2 - 3 PM.

Their Nasi Kuning also not bad, and of couse Nasi Campur with toppings that you can choose yourself.

Never get bored with them, always comeback

Family food taste, lots of snack you can choose as dessert or just pack up to go... cheap price as well. Good job. And it is legend resto as they already open for business...

The place is actually not that big, but for a "depot" , it has quite a lot of dishes. There are like 20-30 menu you can choose, combining many dishes. The price is around 15-25k for foods, and for drinks it varies from 3-10k. I like the food quite a lot, but the portion is a little bit below my standard. The best one is their rawon, and their nasi bali. You should try it. And jumbo ice tea for 6k IDR will fill your...
