Higa Asian Eatery - Kupang Baru — Restaurant in Surabaya

Went to Higa in the afternoon of the ramadhan season so the place was not crowded. I love the interior design and everything. We ordered curry chicken katsu, shrimp garlic noodles, and chocolate snow ice.

Higa was very generous about the chicken so they gave me the big one haha also they topped it with mozzarella cheese and nori. The curry sauce tasted authentic. It was 4.5/5 for me 😋😋

Surprisingly, the shrimp garlic tasted super good. I could not find any over-fishy smell, just a normal seafood smell which is good. The noodle was perfectly cooked! Not too hard but not too soggy. It was 4/5 for mee

The last one is chocolate snow ice. Actually, I waited a little bit too long for this menu to come out. But the taste was worth every second I had to spend waiting for this menu. I think this is like Korean Bing-Soo but it tasted better. The toppings were so rich that you can always have them in every scoop. This is perfect for 2 people. It was definitely 5/5 for me. No complaint just adoration lol

They provide several payment choices, the staffs were super professional and kind. I would love to recommend this restaurant to my colleagues...

Lovely elegant cafe, cozy ambience, instagrammable spots, prices reasonable, but beware of the unprofessionalism of the staff. When you make a reservation make sure you pay a downpayment without being requested. When my son had his birthday and made reservations beforehand, we were not requested to make a downpayment, and when the day came, the assigned VIP room was given to the one who paid a downpayment. Imagine the disappointment. On top of that, the reservation was not listed, the menu card we requested to be made without the prices for a list of selected dishes and drinks was not printed, so we had to order from the regular worn out, dirty looking menu. There was one newly laminated menu given, but even that was taken away for those in the VIP room, and we were replaced by another dirty looking, worn out menu. A very, very disappointed birthday boy they made. Thumbs down!

Note: The Management of Higa has conveyed their apologies for the mishap and apologies has been accepted. Hopefully it will not occur again in the future. The menus have been updated to hard cover and the staff reprimanded...

You got what you paid So sad for knowing their service, the waiter was not professional enough, I had to wait for what I’ve ordered around 45 minutes . I missed my snow Iced because they forgot it. When I asked the lady with short hair as cashier and gave them some feedback, she just answered “so sorry we still need some main power, our kitchen was so busy, our waiter/s was so hectic with the order, may be they’re so tired” LOL, that was really unprofessional and not polite.. my wonton chili sauce was really bad and plain, the taste was so bad.. korean chicken was nice and...
