“Ta Wan”, meaning big bowl. Well, they don’t serve everything in a big bowl. But meaningfully speaking, their portions didn’t reflect that.

It’s a shame though, their food was actually really good. Their special fried chicken, good lord it was seasoned down to the bone.

Price was okay, but the expectation was the issue. I don’t actually mine if they up their price by 15-25% more, as long as the portion was more, IF IT MEANS to reflect their meaning. Cuz the taste was...

Salah satu spot makan Chinese food yg cukup familiar di Surabaya... Yes ini adalah Ta Wan yg buka juga di Pakuwon City Mall Surabaya. Lokasinya strategis di dalam mall, gampang dicari dan cukup nyaman buat makan bareng keluarga atau teman.

Menu andalannya tentu aja bubur khas Ta Wan—dari yang classic seperti bubur ayam, sampai yang lebih spesial seperti bubur udang, phitan, atau telur asin. Teksturnya lembut banget, porsinya juga jumbo... cocok buat sharing!

Selain bubur, mereka juga punya banyak pilihan menu Chinese lainnya seperti: Daging sapi lada hitam Sapo tahu seafood Dory jamur enoki Lumpia udang

Cita rasanya cukup light, tapi tetap kaya rasa. Kalau kamu suka yang gurih gurih nyaman di perut, ini tempatnya.

Dari segi tempat, interiornya simple & bersih, gak terlalu fancy tapi tetap cozy. Pelayanannya juga ramah walau kadang pas rame harus agak sabar dikit. Sistem order udah modern pake QR Code, jadi gak perlu panggil-panggil waiter.

Yang perlu diperhatikan:

Beberapa menu favorit bisa cepet habis, jadi usahakan datang jangan terlalu malam.

Ukuran porsi untuk lauk seperti sapi atau sapo tahu kadang agak mini, tapi masih acceptable.

Overall, buat kamu yg lagi cari Chinese food yg aman, nyaman, dan punya pilihan bubur yg ngangenin... Ta Wan di Pakuwon City Mall ini cukup recommended...

The male waiter was very accommodating and polite. Pity didn't get his name. They didn't push the payment even though the shopping mall was about to close. I really appreciate that. For the kungpao, the meat was not as tender as usual but still nice overall. For the suggestion, the food taste still has so much room for improvement. The hand dryer didn't work.
