Saudagar Laweyan — Restaurant in Surakarta

Last night, our group of 8 visited Saudagar Laweyan. The waiter greeted us warmly, and although his English was not fluent at least he knew the basics, we could understand and appreciate his efforts to communicate with us, especially his apologies, excuses, and friendly explanations about product knowledge. The food was delicious, and my friends finished it all, even though the portion was big. The RIP SUP dish was very smooth and flavorful. However, although the herbal drink was delicious, it was a shame that it was only served with ice 😊. On the other hand, the drink recommended by the waiter was a bit less delicious because of the addition of milk. In the future, I hope the management can expand their drink menu to cater to the tastes of adults or older people, because the atmosphere here is very suitable for those aged 30+, with an aesthetic and...

A really nice place to rest a bit, meet people, friends or family. Nice outdoor seatings and they also have terrace and provide rooms for meetings or small events. Seems they also hold live musics, since they set small stage outdoor.

Friendly and helpfull staffs. The location in on the laweyan street, so we can shop-batik-till-you-drop.

Right next to it is a new hotel Soviasigna, so this cafe will be a really comfortable place to hangout when you are guest or you have guests. Car parking will be a bit tricky, since they only provide motorbike park, but don't worry, there's enough parking officer to assist where to park.

The coffee (ordered Amel) is a bit too sweet for my tastebud, but then i order single espresso and boom, it become enjoyable.

I will update next time when i come again to order food. This time we come only for coffee and chit...

Kami sekeluarga datang dengan High expectations makan disini,dengan harga yang cukup woow di tawarkan juga ambiance Javanese classic. Tapi ternyata SANGAT BURUK/ mengecewakan karena Pelayanan dan rasa makanan sangat kurang. Salah satu pesanan kami mie godhok ketinggalan/lupa di input jadi harus nunggu lagi padahal makanan lainnya sdh di servis duluan,dan pada saat mie godhoknya datang tdk panas tapi anget dan kerupuknya di cemplungin begitu aja diatas kuahnya tdk di pisah, something that doesn't make sense. Chicken steaknya kecil dan tipis dengan beberapa french fries yg tasteless banget(see the price is 60 K) Sekali lg pelayanannya ogah2an untuk perlu sesuatu kami harus berdiri minta piring kosong,sendok,kecap manis. Lemon teh sama sekali tidak ada rasanya,nggak manis dan irisan tipis lemon begitu aja No flavor at all disajikan di gelas kecil masih lebih enak teh di wedangan. Maaf2 saja kami biasa makan enak jadi menurut kami tidak satupun makanan yg enak di lidah. Overall nothing special masih kalah dengan wedangan lesehan atau sejenisnya yg mengedepankan local dish. It's NOT worth it at all From the money that we spent juga expectasi kami. Pelayan seperti robot cuma datang naruh pesanan langsung pergi,tidak ada satu orang pun yg datang mengecek kepuasan setelah at least 3 4 menit makanan di servis, Not even a Manager in charge tidak keliatan batang hidungnya. Dan mbaknya yg taking order ngumpet setelah kesalahan dia lupa input orderan mie godhok. Kami kesana dengan Bapak kami yg di wheelchair dan staffnya seperti menutup mata melihat kami. Apakah itu keramahan orang Solo? Kami tdk mengharapkan mereka membantu bapak saya tapi at least adalah body language mereka seperti willing to help,tidak sama sekali. FYI pas kami kesana tamunya nggak banyak so there is no reason dapat pelayanan buruk. Jadi untuk para pengunjung yang berniat ke saudagar laweyan fikir2 dulu. Jangan sok ngasih bintang 5 tapi be smart to analyze the service dan foods. JELAS banget rate bingtang 5 di palsukan oleh karyawan2nya atau teman mereka.
