I stayed at Grand Aston for two nights and wanted to try dinner at Plum Grill. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the greeter seemed dismissive, immediately telling us that the food here is Western and suggesting we go downstairs if we wanted Asian cuisine.
Once inside, no one greeted us or guided us to a table. We ended up seating ourselves. Despite waiting for quite some time, no server came over to offer menus or explain how to order. Meanwhile, the manager or supervisor was just standing near the bar, showing no effort to supervise the floor or attend to guests.
Overall, it was a very poor experience—one I would not expect from a restaurant in a hotel...

The food was overall really good: the burrata pizza was insanely delicious (perfect texture and flavor), the mutton biryani was flavorful, and the steak was decent too. They even gave us a pecan pie for a birthday, which was such a thoughtful touch, and it tasted amazing. The only downside was the service: our order got mixed up twice and we needed to wait longer, maybe from miscommunication or new staff. They were chatting and laughing loudly among themselves, and one of them even used some inappropriate language as they're joking (k*, etc) LOUDLY, assuming we and other guests (mostly foreigners) wouldn’t understand.
