We (I, my wife, and my two kids) were on our way to the villa when decided to have our lunch here. After being caught in a traffic jam, I thought it would be nice to have a break and lunch as well.
We were here during lunchtime, so it's no surprise that the place was jam-packed with patrons and their vehicles. Thankfully, this place provides valet service, saved me from the hassle of finding a parking spot. It was raining, and the staff kindly walked us with their umbrellas.
Seating is scattered in several areas and buildings, but they all offer the same breathtaking view : the green hillside. The ambiance is nice, the temperature is something you would expect from a highland, cleanliness is good, furniture and fixtures are modern. You can choose to dine with a regular chairs-and-table, or "lesehan" style (without the chairs). Toilets are easy to find, and they all are clean and nicely decorated. This is something you would appreciate from a public place in this area. They are even better than a public restroom next to a lobby of a five-star hotel in the area. There are two clean praying spaces, and a mosque at the entrance, if you're a moslem.
We enjoyed the food, and the varieties offered are adequate. Waitress and waitresses are all friendly and helpful. Probably due to the high number of diners, our additional order took a bit too long to reach our table compared to the initial one. The price is somewhat high, but it's normal for eateries...
Read moreCame at lunch time during long weekend, need to wait around 20 minutes to be seated. They have waiting area with simple welcome drink and snack.
Food serving time is reasonably fast, given the peak hours. We ordered fried chicken, lamb satay, grilled fish, all taste great.. I like the spices and the meat is tender as well. Also tried some of their appetizer, dessert, hot & cold beverage.. all is also good. Love their colenak, it's perfect.
Dining area, toilet & musholla also quite clean. Even in the musholla, they provide sarung & mukena which is individually packed in plastic bag. After use it, we can put it in a bin, to be washed again. Staff is also friendly & responsive.
Some tips: Choose saung/near window area if you would like to have nice view or fresh air. They have 2 entrance : the lower gate (from cipanas direction) and the upper gate ( from puncak pass direction). Seating area also divided into upper and lower area.. make sure you know which area you would like to be seated and choose to get in from correct entrance.. as commuting between area inside the restaurant involving stairs, which might not friendly for elder & pregnant women. Lower area has more seating capacity. But there was construction activity in the upper area to enlarge the dining area.
Room for improvement I think is on their sambal, which is not really spicy to my liking. Overall, this is a very...

We often dine in Bumi Aki, but the one in Bogor. Delicious (though the taste is somehow a little bit sweet, a bit closer to the taste of Centra Java cuisine. But still have the authentic Sundanese taste) and quite fair in pricing compare to similar restaurant.
Place is clean, well-organized (in a way that you have to register first and they will place you in a waiting lounge), crew are polite and keep their attitude even sometime the visitors are rough and be prepare for freezing wind (Indonesian standard, a 20-25 degree celcius is somehow cold) during lunch and especially dinner.
Covid-19 protocol is well prepared here. Each Food and beverages served with a plastic wrapping (including the utensils)
Their Gurame Cobek is great, Udang Goreng Tepung also recommended and of course the Sate Kambing and Sate Ayam (you have to be quick to eat the Sate Kambing because of the cold weather).
The avocado coffee served with chocolate ice cream, and unfortunately the chocolate dominate the taste.
Beware also for minimum parking spot during...
