EDIT FOR THE OWNERS AVOID THIS PLACE (If itâs a street seller asking for money then why is the same person delivering our drinks and food? The SAME person that touch a customer INAPPROPRIATELY. Believe it or not I do have eyes and ears and seen this happen. If this kitchen is western standards it wouldnât be pitch black and have stuff laying open everywhere.) This was definitely the strangest place we had food at in Senggigi. Firstly weâll start off with the drinks, not even 5 minutes after we first got our drinks which where still full the bar staff came down to our table to ask us if we wanted more, and this happened every 3-6 minutes throughout our time, it was more of an annoyance as it felt like we where just there as cash cows. We then had a waiter come to us and made us feel uncomfortable telling us that he had no money and we were looked rich and generous, later the same waiter was EXTREMELY inappropriate to another guest as he put his hand on her neck then ran his finger up to her nose, she was clearly uncomfortable with this. The food wasnât the best, we got the chicken and potato wedges, the chicken was full of fat and veins and the salad that came with the chicken made everything soggy, before we got our food there was a photoshoot with our plates that took about 5-10 minutes meaning that our food was lukewarm when we got it. Looking into the kitchen it didnât look the cleanest and didnât look organised or tidy, we understand that the same level of cleanliness isnât European standards but for Indonesia standards it looked rough. Would definitely go somewhere else! Also be aware they charge 5,000 to park your...
Read moreLa Chill Bar..... Fantastic food and drinks located in a beautiful beach setting looking back to Bali. Fab spot for kicking back on a bean bag - shady and sunny spots available - and relaxing. Great vantage point for sunset. Staff are gorgeous.. attentive and super friendly. Food and drinks are really great here.. this bar will only sell âproperâ booze so you can be sure if youâre drinking a cocktail it is safe. Prices are more than fair based on this and quality of food is fantastic. Will return for sure!
Donât be put off by reviews Iâve read here about the hawkers. I think these are written by tourists who, well, just donât get it.... it really doesnât take more than a firm no and smile if you are not interested in their wares. Ok, maybe two noâs but seriously.... I think people need to have a bit of heart and remember they are visiting a developing country whose people, more often than not, donât share the opportunities with regard to jobs and earning potential that others do.... it reallydoesnât take much to be kind. I donât usually buy but yesterday did - 2 little bracelets from a gorgeous older lady who I was happy to chat with for some time. Beach vendors are often quite fun to have a chat with and itâs really not that difficult to deal with those that are more...
Read moreThe place looks awesome on photos, but you shouldn't expect much when you've came to this bar. The bar is rather small and located inside an inn/hostel so it's a bit confusing for tourists with minimum signage and lack of parking lot (because you're not allowed to park in the inn/hostel parking lot eventhough it's located inside it). Sorry to say but the food I had was below average (I ordered Bruschetta besides ice cream and drinks because the smoothies bowl I intentionally want to order is out of stock and only be served in the morning) and they lack of workers (there's only 1 waiter when I went there around 3 PM and she multitasked washing the dishes while I had to approach her to the open dishwasher for her to write down my order) Still, the idea of playing with colorful bean bag as seating, the lanterns and umbrellas, deserves my 3 stars (might be better at noon or night because maybe the lanterns will be turned on) which will catch the crowds' attention as an...
