I am writing this in both Farsi and English to discourage you to spend your money, time and ruin your Bamland experience for the poorest service with least trained servers, mediocre food with minimum options, extremely high prices for what you are served, and indifferent attitude of the management.

This experience is back to one of the Ramadan evenings, with great weather and vibe in Bamland, full of people and packed restaurants (Iftar time - when you break fasting). We took a walk and tried to discover something new in the Bamland complex to test. Due to long wait time in all the restaurants, we ended up going for "Shandiz" brand, with the same mindset about Shandiz food quality. You never receive an acceptable serving experience even in main "Shandiz Restaurant" in Tehran (referring to the one in Zafar, arguably the original branch), but at least the quality of food is acceptable. Anyhow, ending up to Shandiz in Bamland was the worst choice for ruining the pleasant experience of a beautiful night with family.

We were accepted in the restaurant that was not full. This should have been the first red flag for us not to pursue this choice. We were helped to pick a table beside the window which was probably the nicest experience of the whole night! Then for 40 minutes, no one came to our table to offer even some water or take order for drinks! After many trials to get the attention of the server, he came up and was kind of surprised why we were impatient!

The menu in Shandiz is not really offering you options. Two types of lamb (neck area and muscle), mahi kebob (a skewer of roasted fish) and chicken kebob! The appetizer was only on tray of Mirza ghasemi and Kashkebademjan, and just soup of the day... Which I am happy I order it to hold me for the night!

Mahicheh (lamb dish) was the most expensive order, which I accidentally ordered! As seen in the photo, it was offered almost raw! None of the four of us could eat it! The taste was not good for a meal of chef's choice! Our table ordered also chicken kebob, which was not tender at all! It was dry and no one asked how we want it cooked. The fish was trout fish, dry, and cut into worst presentation on a huge stupid skewer. All food was cold, when served on the table.

Anyhow, from the middle of the experience and considering the long wait time of other restaurants, we decided to focus on our togetherness and not food. But in one word, the whole experience was "Terrible"! At the end another server came to us and asked: "was everything excellent?!" like the ta'arof they inauthentically pass to each other in Iran. When the server heard back our "No!" answer, he just sufficed saying that "hopefully next time!"

He was not prepared to receive feedback or even be perceptive to ask a few questions to at least help improving the poor quality of the whole thing. But this is still very typical in Iran (it is getting much better, you should always ask for referral before getting in any restaurant).

My recommendation to anyone going to Bamland is not to dine in these places with this mediocre/poor level of offering/management. If I was part of the management of the Bamland complex, I would oblige the restaurants of the complex to comply with a minimum of standards, but currently everything is focused on the interface.

-Here's How this Shandiz became the best restaurant in Bamland-

Why: Hands-down best Shandiz in all of Tehran. Beautiful scenery overlooking off the 2nd floor, great live music, great atmosphere and extremely fast service.

Now the Food: Food was top-tier! I had initially ordered 1 sikth chicken kabob and lamb neck, which both were excellent, complimented with shallot yogurt and bread. Tomatoes were well cooked and mixed well with the rice.

Service: I felt like a king! Waiters were professional and prompt with any request. They were even better dressed than my guests! Made me feel like any request wasnt a big deal and hassle free. I recommend a birthday celebration if you're looking to celebrate somewhere at Bamland.

Parking: Its conveniently located at the tip of Bamland, where parking is easy to find for the whole family(12 people).

Overall 5 stars, great experience, great food...hell I've already been here twice with...

I ordered Shishlik and they served food with inferior quality. Meat wasn’t fresh and they had to improve the taste by adding some spices… I’d never recommend this place to try.👎🏻
