After a long and exhausting day, we decided to try Aref Restaurant 2 on Harthia Road. The restaurant appeared spacious and comfortable from the outside, and inside, it was bustling with activity as workers attended to customers.
We ordered two plates of rice, grilled chicken, and bean and eggplant broth, which included salad and sides. Additionally, we tried the cold smoked yoghurt, called shinina, which was refreshing in the hot weather. The atmosphere was pleasant, with effective air conditioning, and our order arrived promptly.
However, the food quality was disappointing. The chicken was dry and lacked the freshness and tenderness we expected. The tea we ordered came with sugar already added and had a burnt, watery taste. Even after requesting tea without sugar, the new cups still tasted the same—burnt, watery, and overly sweet.
We requested that our table be cleaned so we could enjoy our tea in a tidier setting, but this request was ignored. As a result, we paid and left...
