Qasr Aliya, situated along Abu Nuwas Street in Baghdad, offers a dining experience that seamlessly blends historical grandeur with modern luxury. Once the residence of Queen Aliya, the last queen of Iraq, the palace has been meticulously restored into a restaurant that honors its royal heritage while providing contemporary comforts

From the moment you enter, the ambiance captivates with its elegant decor, soft lighting, and a cozy atmosphere that invites relaxation. The staff exemplifies professionalism, offering attentive and courteous service that enhances the overall experience.

The culinary offerings are a highlight, featuring authentic Iraqi cuisine with a modern twist. Signature dishes like grilled kebabs and masgouf are prepared with precision, delivering rich flavors that pay homage to traditional recipes For shisha enthusiasts, Qasr Aliya provides a selection of high-quality options, adding to the leisurely experience.

Beyond dining, Qasr Aliya serves as a cultural venue, hosting events that celebrate both local and international traditions. Notably, it was the site of a Chinese Spring Festival celebration, highlighting its role in fostering cultural exchange

In summary, Qasr Aliya is more than just a restaurant; it's a destination where history, culture, and gastronomy converge, offering guests a memorable experience in the...

Qasr Aliya is an absolute gem for anyone who appreciates authentic Eastern cuisine with a nostalgic twist. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a beautiful vintage ambiance — from the decor to the music, it feels like a refined throwback to a different time. The attention to detail in the interior design really enhances the overall dining experience and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The menu is limited, but every item is thoughtfully prepared and packed with flavor. I ordered the lamb ribs and they were exceptional — tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The appetizer was also a standout — fresh, beautifully presented, and a perfect introduction to the meal. You can really tell that everything is made with care and high-quality ingredients. Their fresh juice was another highlight — refreshing, natural, and clearly made to order. It paired perfectly with the richness of the main course and added a vibrant touch to the meal. Service was warm and attentive without being intrusive, and everything ran smoothly. A big bonus: parking was hassle-free thanks to their excellent parking service — very convenient, especially during peak hours. If you're looking for high-quality Eastern food, a cozy vintage atmosphere, and great service, Qasr Aliya is absolutely...

Dining at Qasir Aliya is truly a wonderful experience. The moment you step inside, you're transported to another era. The place feels like a beautiful museum, and I was told it was once the palace of Queen Aliya herself, which makes the whole visit feel special and authentic. The atmosphere is enchanting, and every detail is just right. While the setting is breathtaking, the food is what truly makes this restaurant a must-visit. The Chicken Masgoof was a masterpiece and easily earned a perfect 10/10. It was insanely tasty, incredibly juicy, and so tender. We were warned about the long cooking time, but the wait was absolutely worth it, especially since it came with a fantastic garlic sauce and a lovely low-spice red sauce. The Beef Biryani was also a fantastic dish, scoring a very respectable 8.32/10. It was well-prepared and incredibly satisfying. The Caesar Salad, while tasty and scoring a 7.84/10, was a bit of a surprise because it came without chicken. It was still a good salad, but a Caesar just doesn't feel right without it. Overall, Qasir Aliya is a destination in itself. The combination of a stunning, historical atmosphere and truly delicious food, especially the standout Chicken Masgoof, makes it a place I can't wait to visit again. It's a culinary and cultural experience that I would highly...

Oct 2025 - 7pm Pros: - The restaurant is in an old house from early 20 century — the first queen of Iraq used to live there. - The atmosphere is calm and full of history. You really feel like you went back in time. - Everything looks vintage — the chairs, tables, mirrors, even the napkins civers ..all match the old style. - There are 2 main areas: Inside: several small rooms (they call them halls), each has a unique name and cozy design. Outside: a big backyard ..divided into 5 sections, each with its own waitress, and team leader. - The staff are very polite and friendly. - Food tastes amazing, with strong flavors and spices that remind me of my childhood. 😌 I had Qoozi, my mom had grills, both were really good. - Prices are fair, especially for the quality and place. Cons: - The indoor rooms are small, not very comfortable for big groups. - The outdoor area could use more shade or cooling, especially during hot days. - The menu doesn’t have many options, but what they have is tasty. - They have a valet service, but the system doesn’t work. You must go outside, tell the valet team yourself, and wait 5–10 minutes on a busy, dusty street. That was not a nice way to end an otherwise great visit. - There's a nearby loud generator! The noise was clearly disturbing.
