Dinos Blackpool — Restaurant in Cork

Called here for something to eat not knowing what to expect, It was clean toilets and sit down area off limits due to covid. Ordered a chicken breast meal and have to say it was delicious old style traditional chips lovel and dry no grease on them, the chicken in a bun was absolutely delicious it was a fine thick breast of chicken with seasoning on it and cooked to perfection it would melt in your mouth and was juicy nothing like the dryed up leather that passes for chicken in other outlets, also had a large coke to wash it down or a tea which ever was your preference. We will definitely be calling there again the next time we are in Cork for a meal. SO we were back in this part of Cork City again during the week and decided to see if we would be as satisfied as we were on our first time calling here. As before toilets and seating areas off limits due to the covid virus. We went through the drive through area this time which was very busy took approximately 15 minutes from time of placing our order to getting it handed to us, the young lad on the serving hatch was the most delightful young man we have encountered for a long long time he was so polite and mannerily and welcoming it was delightful to engage with him. The food was everybit as delicious as it had been on our first visit old style chips cooked to perfection I love the crispy bits at the bottom of the bag the chicken brest in a bun just melted in the mouth real brest of chicken is what you get here nothing like the processed rubbish that one gets in a lot of places. #blackpool only# I dont know where to begin. First of all I want to note this is the third strike. First time the intercom /language barrier. Got the order completely wrong and when I returned to the shop counter with my reciept I was met with very negative and unprofessional behaviour. I did receive the remaining items but it was too late because the family had eaten the food they had received. #big order bye the way? €60 +. The second time was a similar order and the food was not good whatsoever. And guess what?? Items missing yet again. This time i went back trough the drive thru and in all honesty the staff member was extremely helpful and polite. Third time and most recent to this review, agreed with my partner to go to dinos for a convenient supper as i was working later than usual. Once again we ordered a similar order to the usual but I decided to get a 3 piece snack box, In all honesty I never had chips so dehydrated and reheated in my life.chicken skin was flavoursome but the chicken was extremely poor and not nice to eat. Onion rings that were so greasy and had zero batter/crunch to them. Partner had a breast in a bun meal that usually delivers a great response and struggled to comment on how to eat it because it was so dry. Kids burger meals were eaten by my children but they also commented on the chips. And last but not least the cheese and onion pies were missing from the order. The staff member did acknowledge me at the drive thru before I said anything about it and apologised and had the pies at the ready. Just not a good...

Three words - filthy filthy filthy. The photos speak for themselves. These were taken on 6th January 2017 at 838pm. When I pointed out the mess I was told it was a work in progress. However there was not much progress made in the half hour we were there. Leftovers left on tables in the eating area. More waste food under the tables. The photos here are of the food preparation area, near the till and around the fridges. Princess Dino was there and came over when I asked to speak with the manager. She asked me to stop taking photos and that the floors would be cleaned "in time". It wasn't busy for the total time - 45 mins approx - that we were there for. If princess Dino had any interest she would have had the place cleaned while telling me to go away. In the second pic someone had brushed waste into a neat pile and left it on the floor. Note the full potato cake. Lazy or what? It wouldnt have taken much more effort to pick the stuff up. This is not the first time I had a bad experience in this premises. The previous time the toilet was overflowing with excrement coming out the door. When I alerted staff to the problem I was told the toilets had nothing to do with them. Go figure!!!.
