Noodlee — Restaurant in Cork

Walked in and staff looked at myself and my partner as if we had four heads personally we think because two of us had been just out of work (I wore a shirt suit pants and tie and my partner wore contractor attire) it instantly made us feel like we were inferior when we walked in as if we couldn’t afford to eat there. We Told them we wanted table for two and they just stared at us then one lady walked us to our table after staring at us for what felt like 2 minutes she was quite rude. A lady with blonde hair came over after five minutes she was nothing but rude. Myself and my partner were getting the two course meal 25€ pp and she basically told us we couldn’t get that as I apparently wasn’t the legal age for wine or beer. There was a 10 minute standoff with her. She was extremely rude and narky towards myself and my boyfriend talking over us, every time I was talking defending myself she then proceeded to not even talk to me but to talk to my partner about me in-front of me which I found extremely rude then Proceeded to tell me to “calm down” as I was sitting there quite calmly telling her I’m of legal age but we don’t even want a drink as this was a quiet little date night . The food was only alright. We had gotten the 3 course “Christmas special”. I Got prawns and my partner ribs, prawns were very greasy and ribs had nothing but fat on them they were extremely bland. We got two chicken curry’s they were lovely, absolutely Devine. We then finished our main course with no staff members to come over till about 15 minutes later which we then had to ask for dessert menus we got two brownies which were gorgeous. Went for lunch w/ 2 sisters and my mom. We got 2 entrees and they were great. One of the sisters has autism and food selectivity and we let the waiter know and she immediately gave us suggestions and what we could take away to make a dish more accessible. And we were able to give my sister one of her favourite dishes with no problem.

Atmosphere was great, food and staff were lovely. We also did not feel any rush to leave after we finished eating and were able to take our time with out meal.

Ordered from here many times and it is usually very nice however I have had two very bad experiences here. 1. I went to collect my order and staff tried to tell me that my boyfriend had already collected my order (How would they even know my boyfriend) and I was so embarrassed as they were accusing me of trying to collect my order twice in front of many customers. 2. I gave them a second chance as the food was nice and I got food poisoning, violently sick for 2 days. Safe to say I will not...
