I would like to share my experience from today at Bollywood Temple Restaurant in Shannon. We were a group of four and had ordered Paneer Karahi, Adraki Mushroom, four coriander garlic naans, and rice. Unfortunately, when the food was served and we began eating, we realized that what was supposed to be Paneer was actually chicken.
This was especially disappointing as we had specifically planned to eat vegetarian today in observance of Human Jayanti. We immediately informed the staff, and while they did offer to replace the dish, the replacement unfortunately lacked flavor and was quite unsatisfying.
Feeling disheartened, we decided to stop eating and headed to the counter to settle the bill. The gentleman at the counter was polite and understanding—he initially said we didn’t need to pay, but we insisted since the food had been served. Eventually, he offered a 50% discount, which we accepted.
While we appreciated the gesture at the end, the overall experience was very disappointing. As a regular customer, I had always enjoyed dining here, but after this incident, I don’t think I’ll be returning or recommending the place to others.
It’s unfortunate that such a trusted spot let us down on a day that was especially...
Read moreExcellent authentic Indian restaurant (mainly focusing on North indian cuisine). The food is extremely outstanding and moreover the chefs are much happier to make you food according to your spice levels. I have been there many times with my friends from different countries and all were very happy with the food and liked it very much. All of my friends who were here, both vegetarians and non vegetarians (myself being a vegetarian) tells me that they are happy with the food. Most of them liked the starter Paneer Tikka, which to me also is one of my favourite. When coming to the main course there is a lot of options to choose from, and the options are not less for vegetarians as well. The way they serve the dishes (curries and some other hot food items like biryani) is really cool and appetising, they serve them in a metal pot, palced on top of some minature stove like base with a small candle placed under it thus keeping it warm until we finish our meal. I took one star overall because of the way of table service sometimes, but personally I can surely give 5 start out of 5 for their food and the way the food...
Read moreI had the worst experience at this restaurant, despite going there based on recommendations. I ordered the Kolhapuri, but it was extremely spicy. I approached the manager and told him I wouldn’t be able to eat it due to the spice level. Instead of addressing the issue himself, he sent a staff member who told me, “If you can’t eat that, you can order something else.” I asked for a replacement, but they refused to do so. I also ordered Gulab Jamun and waited for 15 minutes. When I went to ask about my order, they told me the kitchen was closed.
I would not recommend this restaurant at all especially if you're Indian. It was the worst experience.
To make things worse, they still charged me the full amount for the dish, even though it wasn’t my fault. Honestly, if I were white, I believe they would have handled the situation differently. While I was told the kitchen was closed, they continued to serve another customer sitting at a nearby table.
Extremely...
