Connemara Woodfire — Restaurant in County Galway

I’ve been to this place a few times, both dining in and take away. I’ve only ever had pizza. I find, that the pizza is not always the same standard. It definitely was best last year, after you got the new pizza oven. It’s quite pricey. €17.50 for a veggie pizza is more than what you would pay at a good pizza place in Dublin. The very small jar of dip is €3.50 and chips €5.00. I wish they offered take away prices as I don’t think these prices can be justified for take away. I do think though, the quickest win would be training the team in basic customer service. Service is most of the time awkward, too many people running around with empty hands or standing around, not asking guests if everything is ok or even ask if they want coffee. Three of us dined in at Connemara Woodfire Restaurant at Letterfrack not too far from Tully in County Galway Ireland tonight, two of just us had fish, chips, with a side salad, and I myself had fish, chips, mushy peas, with curry sauce plus a side salad. The cost was €13 Euro each and all I can say is Wow, excellent value for money, the fish was quite big and tasted delicious the portion of chips was also quite large, loved the peas and the curry sauce was just right, they had a good selection of music playing in the background. The staff are very friendly and courteous and nothing was too much trouble, the service was very good too. I can recommend this Restaurant which also had burger meals and pizzas plus others, and a take out service. I can highly recommend...

Anyone heading to Connemara national park, Galway county, Clifden, leenaun in fact anywhere in western Ireland has to head to the Connemara lodge where the Connemara woodfire restaurant is. It is an absolutely must for foodies for 4 simple reasons 1 the food 2 the service 3 the decor 4 the ambiance. Food is unreal the woodfire pizza the RIBS 😋FISH AND JUMBO PRAWN TACOS the salads. The service is the best in the county bar none' Mike and his unreal staff such as William Siabh. They could not do more for you or make you feel more welcome and the icing on the cake dogs are welcome inside and out of the lodge and restaurant.
