So.. I generally don't bother with Many reviews. Unfortunately, I was really dissapointed with Kerb. I had the buttermilk chicken wrap, but the chicken was dry, tasteless & hard. I know I could get the same thing from a spar or centra Deli, for a fraction of the price. I definitely could have made my own at home and it would be drastically better. It was €12, just not acceptable. We also got the Fig and walnut salad thing, but the vast majority of the salad was feta cheese. I like feta but there was probably entire block in the bowl, so it's just a chunk of cheese in every bite, started to get a bit sickening almost immediately. There was pecan nuts and figs but they were tasteless, for some reason. Again I don't like going in on places, but I was actually irritated enough when walking out to leave a review. It's Quite a small menu, so I assumed they had the lunch menu locked down and perfected. This is not the case. I don't know if they had an off day or if they've just stagnated (it's been around a few years, good reputation) Maybe they get enough business to not need a change up in the menu. Read moreMyself and a colleague had the worst customer experience of our lives (I'm 70) this morning. We visited the Kerb Restaurant at 8:15 - as I have done on numerous occasions. No one at the counter so we sat down to wait. A tall man arrived 5 minutes or so later and aggressively approached where we sat and loudly said - how did we get in etc etc .. he said we could be robbing the cafe and more similar comments. We left and were getting into our cars across the road and he again aggressively approached us - raised voice again, we asked what are you doing... he noted that it was first thing in the morning .... as I write this I still find it difficult to comprehend that the experience actually happened. I would fear for anyone older etc being similarly accosted. Never go...
Read moreLovely cafe which was extended inside a few years ago so it has more space to sit inside. My Mum had poached eggs on toast with avocado smash, sourdough bread and loads of trimmings. She adored it and kept saying how perfectly her eggs were cooked. I'm vegan but they have a big salad dish, a falafel wrap, often their soup is vegan and several side dishes. Their porridge can also be made vegan. I had the falafel wrap and the Za'atar fries which are amazing. If the owners read this, I'm sure your vegan customers would love if tofu scramble made it onto the menu. Service is cheerful, good quality food and reasonable price for the area. We didn't have dessert but they have a selection of pastries and usual 1-2 vegan...
