I’ve watched the restaurant take shape over the last few weeks and when another local eatery could take a booking I called in and booked for 3 people for last night. Fairly small menu but better off doing a few dishes well I suppose. Starters we shared and had the crab/brioche garlic flatbread and burrita salad. All very tasty. Mains we all went for pork chop with a home made sauce, all talked about how delicious they were. Decided to order a couple of hash brown fries which arrived quickly. Very good if a little over cooked. Pizzas served to the table beside us looked good. Limited desserts but went for both to share Tiramisu a little sweet and Lemon Posset was spot on. 3 excellent coffees, drinks 2 sparkling waters and a bottle of Montepulciano came to €189 plus a tip. Service is excellent and attentive. Place was very buzzy and full with locals. Much needed local restaurant and they’ll do well if they don’t lose the run of themselves with the prices and also get a full licence, a beer would have been nice. It’d be great to get the outdoor seating area sorted with heaters and proper covering. Limited space only allows for an accessible single toilet but it was spotless. We...

Koda in Deansgrange has become a firm favourite of ours, and for good reason. Whether we're popping in for a relaxed weekend brunch or settling in for a cosy dinner, the experience is always consistently excellent.

The food is fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Brunch is always spot on, while the dinner menu offers creative, well-executed dishes that go beyond the usual fare. The attention to detail in both taste and plating shows a real passion in the kitchen.

Service is another standout. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly without being overbearing. It’s clear they care about the customer experience, and that hospitality adds so much to the overall atmosphere.

Speaking of atmosphere, Koda strikes a perfect balance—welcoming and stylish without being pretentious. Whether you're dining as a couple, with family, or catching up with friends, the vibe feels just right.

It's rare to find a place that gets everything right so consistently, but Koda manages to deliver every time. We visit regularly and always leave happy—already looking forward to our next meal there. Highly recommended for locals and...

Had brunch here twice, both times really good. First time I had poached eggs with avocado on toast with a green salad, it was the best brunch I've had in a long time, I wanted to lick my plate clean! Next time I had Turkish eggs which I enjoyed but not as much as the other dish. My other half had the breakfast grill both times, thought it was really good except the sauce with it which was very very smoky. I noticed when making my 2nd reservation that the time allocated was reduced from the previous one hour to just 45 minutes which is way too short. That time frame wouldn't allow for a dessert or coffee! So I'd recommend the owners go back to the previous time allocation. But that's the only gripe I have, the food is great!
