Saba To Go — Restaurant in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown

We have been a customer for a while and really loved their crispy chilli chicken, which today was very dry and the coating was floating in the sauce, first time this is happened. It didn't taste fresh at all, more like it was reheated/re-fried. We also got phad thai with tofu, which had arrived without tofu, seems like a system glitch to be honest, the person on the phone was very kind to send the dish to us with tofu this time. There were 5 small cubes of tofu and a few bits of vegetables. The amount of rice noodles is just crazy, way too much, and not enough sauce, veggies, protein. Sadly, this is the last time we have ordered tonight, we had many problems previously (delivery over 1 hour 20 minutes, wrong orders, order never arrived and was never on the system despite a confirmation we had received, mushy jasmine rice most of the time and always miniscule amount of veggies). Not sure what has happened, but the quality and quantity is not what...

I ordered spice bag, green curry with rice and pad thai worth €50 from deliveroo

The spice bag had 2 chicken pieces for the price of €13, the green curry came without rice. As mentioned on the note to make it "extra spicy" when the food arrived was completely bland to taste. Apparently the note provided doesn't have any meaning.

When contacted the restaurant. They said that deliveroo is responsible for it. Although I believe the money spent is shared among both the parties, that being the restaurant and deliveroo, the delivery partner. Shouldn't the food mishandling be managed by the restaurant?

This seems to be outrages for spending €50 on this subpar food. Also when contacted there was no person in charge to log the complain with.

I have also mailed about my experience and I haven't received any response yet.

Subpar service, food and...

Alan from catering was extremely helpful and delivered exactly as ordered for a family birthday occasion of an approximately 20 people. I used the catering option as I wanted to serve as quickly as possible from pre-prepared large containers as provided. Both dishes as ordered were excellent, And the crispy chicken went down particularly well with some of the younger crew. Having said that it would’ve been nice to have received a phone call to have given some satisfaction that everything would definitely come on time, and to discuss potentially other options that I may have taken not otherwise likely to be discussed via email. It is questionable as to whether it was better value than ordering from Saba To-Go In the normal manner, However, given the ease of serving up, I felt this was still the easier option.

In summary, expensive but good....
