Summer Inn Asian Food (Beaumont) — Local services in Dublin

Awful! Rang last night at 7.50pm to order food. At 9.10pm we rang to see where food was snd told it would be 15min. We said no problem. At 9.45pm i rang back as still no food and he said it would be another 7 minutes. I asked was it in the drivers car already as we had already waited just under 2 hours for food. The person on phone laughed at me and said its not 2 hours. It was!! Then said the food was leaving the shop in a few minutes. I said its gonna be longer that 7 minutes then because we dont live within 7 minutes of the shop. At this point he just hung up on me. I rang back annoyed at his rudeness and asked for a manager to be laughed at again and told they dont have a manager. Again he hung up on me. At this point i rang and told them not to bother sending the food. Staff are rude, unprofessional and 2 hours wait for food is a disgrace. If they had of said at start it would take that long, we could have made a decision to wait or to order elsewhere but to keep lying about the time and hanging up on customers is shocking. 7 customers lost! Never...

Going here more than 5 years. Food was always good but the wait time could be hit or miss particularly on weekends. Now since the changeover of management the order time is excellent. We always get our food, big and small orders made and delivered to the door within 20 minutes. Sometimes the front of house staff, particularly in the past, can be abrupt but, particularly after the change over we have nothing to complain about!!Food is lovely and not too greasy as you can get food too greasy from other Chinese takeaways. Curry sauce and the rice is our household favorite from all the Chinese takeaways. Only downside is they have changed their salt and chilli chips which use to be my favorite:(

I would recommend to order from the app easy dish because the drivers from the takeaway deliver it rather than just eat drivers which can cause delays. We’ve been here frequently for over 2 years. The food is good value for money. Portions are generous (for an Asian woman) and quality is consistently good. My favourite is the Cantonese duck which is oh so tasty. Their chips are also my favourite in Ireland - a generous bag that’s hot and crispy, what’s not to like? Other recommendations include the plum chicken, tofu with cashew, and veg spring rolls.

Only call out is I like food more bland, so we do ask for less salt which makes a (good) difference.
