This was a real shame. Had my eyes on this place for a while. Full big breakfast at a reasonable 11.75. First thing was the egg. It was nice but rather meagre, insipid and sad. The black pudding had been cremated, the toast should have been used for roof tiles and I left most of the bacon because it was bland. Sausages way too salty and not enough butter given for two bits of toast. On a positive, the beans were nice but thats not difficult if you use Batchelors. Mushrooms were actually tasty but coffee was passable at best, didnt taste entirely fresh unfortunately, which is a reflection on the breakfast im afraid. Nobody had cleaned the table outside and the ash tray wasnt emptied at all from the beginning, even though i'm an ex-smoker and it didnt bother me too much but still... not very observant of them. A real shame. I think I may have extremely high expectations after having breakfast at the Local Cafe in Finglas couple a weeks back. I wish I had just gone back there. Maybe 3 stars a bit harsh but what can I say, I won't be returning anyway.

Cute little cafe with excellent service and tasty food. Their nook melt was the best with lots of cheese just melting in your mouth. So was the chocolate milkshake. The food here is just perfect, be it for a quick bite or in for a heavy meal. The service here is awesome as well. Would love to hop in again.

The ambiance of the cafe was nice. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was well made and nice as well. I had the hot chocolate and French toast and it was quite filling. Will definitely recommend 😊

I have literally just had a massively negative experience at this cafe.

So to outline: I have been a customer of this cafe for at least 10years and i know this because remember meeting for mornings with friends pre baby, who is now 9 years old. I have never had cause to complain, the staff who work here are lovely and helpful and chatty but the owner/manager has always been a bit course and insincere and at times i would even say possibly rude and dismissive. Today i attended the cafe with my mother while my father attended an appointment nearby, the plan was for him to join us later. My mother ordered French toast and diet coke and i ordered a bagel with sausage, scrambled egg, relish and an americano. we both received our orders mums was fine but mine was really rubbery and difficult to cut, the sausages were really unpleasant in texture not unlike the had been left in a microwave for too long. Anyway, the lovely girl who was on the floor asked if our food was ok and i said actually mine was pretty bad, I was very polite as was she, i said it’s like they have perhaps been microwaved for too long, she was lovey, but then her manger/owner interjected - he approached with arms folded very confrontational, his tone was rude he practically pulled the plate away from the lady went hastily to the till and made a whole drama about getting a refund, which i might add i wasn’t asking for nor expecting. I am a long long standing customer and i live across the road so i frequent this coffee shop regularly as do my family, obviously this was really upsetting. he then handed the money to the girl and made her bring it to the table, she was so lovely and i could tell the whole situation was very unpleasant for her. my father then arrived and ordered his food and a coffee and like my mum enjoyed it just fine. For the duration of or time the manager keep staring at me and giving me uncomfortable looks - it was all grossly unprofessional and really unpleasant and the most atrocious and intimidating customer service i have ever had. When we were finished and we were leaving he immediately came over and started cleaning our table, I said to him i have been coming here for over a decade and how you treated me was really rude, In that time i have never returned anything or complained and when i did the manner in which you spoke to me and treated me was extremely rude.. I thought he would just say, something like i’m sorry you’ve had a bad experience, i know you are a regular patron and i hope you will let us do better next time you visit - hell no
he went off on one started talking over me, told me to stop talking and listen, his manner towards me was disrespectful and disgusting. so i told him i will never be visiting his establishment again, neither will my family. I have heard friends in the area tell me about this guy but i always felt my experience here was lovely (mind you i have always put it down to lovely staff) Today i saw a different side, i feel sorry for the staff, he obviously has zero respect for them, he is rude and has zero business savvy when it comes to treating customers professionally and trying to retain trade in the locality. He was intimidating, patronising and downright rude. I was say avoid supporting anyone who clearly treats their staff badly and their...

The staff are absolutely lovely. I enjoyed my hour of peace and quiet. The place is fresh and clean. Covid rules followed to the letter too. It would be great if the WiFi code was in plain site. I was initially disappointed that there wasn’t a guest one. Since another guest asked for access, I followed suit. It’s an extra task for the staff to sort this out though. Just one other thing
. Ditch the microwave? The eggs were unfortunately done in a microwave. It’s not the same at all. Otherwise a lovely...
