I recently visited the Strawberry Hall with friends for a stag night, we watched Ireland beat Australia in the rugby 🏉 The staff where very friendly and worked well both behind the bar and keeping tables clean of emptys. The Christmas decorations where up and it was a very warm comfortable place to be on a damp wet evening. There is a big carpark situation across the road with a mobile pizza hut and coffee shop. I will be back again soon. Derek Raythorne

Want the creamiest Guinness pint in the whole of Ireland which is 200 years old? Oh yeah! That's here. Strawberry hall. They have retained this beautiful interior even though so old and traditional without compromising the quality of what makes their Guinness the best. The most beautiful time to visit is during Christmas because the decorations last till March and it just gives a beautiful feel to entering Spring from the cold winter.

If you happen to come here around Christmas time, their decorations are extreme. Thoroughly enjoyed the multitude of Santas and tinsel and all hanging from the eaves. Fantastic and creamy pints of Guinness, and in the ladies bathroom, they are very thoughtful and put out deodorant, mouthwash, dry shampoo, amongst other toiletries that you might need a quick spritz from. Gorgeous little place!

If I could leave less than a 1 star review I would. I used to be a fan of The Strawberry Hall until recently. I was there a few weeks ago on a Saturday night with a couple of friends. For the night we were sitting at one of the tables under the window. I had my jacket beside me on the bench seat for the night, but when I was leaving at closing time my jacket was gone. I asked a staff member and he couldn't find it. I rang the pub on the Monday night and was speaking to a man called Declan (who I now believe to be the owner). After I explained why I was ringing he straight away got very defence and aggressive and accused me and my friends of saying that whiskey was stolen from our table. I told him he was mistaken and no-one at our table was drinking whiskey. His tone changed slightly and he said that he would check with the cleaning staff to see if they found my jacket and for me to ring back the next afternoon. When I telephoned the next day he said that it wasn't found. I told him of my disappointment and that it had obviously been taken. He then got very aggressive with me again and said one of my friends must have taken it or I left it in the taxi. I said there was no way this happened. At one point he was shouting at me down the phone before he hung up. I have to say the staff working in the pub that night (except for the bouncer, who is also quite rude) were lovely and helpful. Earlier in the night I saw one female member of staff outside trying to clean up and wash away vomit from beside the front door. The crowd in this pub at the weekend is now extremely young. Myself and my friends will NOT be returning ever again to this pub. I have also never met such a rude man and to speak to a customer the way he spoke to me...

Myself and my partner booked here for day 2 of our wedding over 6 months in advance for 40+ Adults and 4 (not small) kids. Staff were very friendly and the guys doing the pizzas in goats gruff were incredible but the man who I can only assume is the owner/manager was nothing but horrendous. Absolutely nothing nice to say about him at all and completely ruined mine, my new husbands and our families day. He told us no one would be served until all children left before 7pm, even though our food had just arrived. This was never said to us in all the months of contact with them, knowing we had the few children coming and were not due to arrive until later in the day is not on. He continuously gave us an awful hard time while we were trying to finish the 30 pizzas we bought, organise a plan B on the spot for us all and trying to get back in contact with a bus not due back for hours. Full five stars to staff attentiveness, kindness and patience while listening to this man give them awful grief also. Food was incredible but not a single one of us will ever be back, we will not recommend to anyone and he missed out on a huge amount of business on an otherwise quiet and...

The place looked nice (from the 5 seconds I got to see from inside), a group of 14 of us reserved seats for about 2 hours, we showed up aound 7pm and the man behind the bar who I assume was the manager/owner shouts "no stags" and points towards the door, we tried to explain to him that we had booked seats and pizza's, but he wasn't having any of it. We did in fact happen to be on a stag, but if he took 2 seconds to read the room he could see that group of men in our 30's and 40's not making any noise, just looking for a place to grab food and a few pints before we went into Dublin for the night. I would not even be leaving this review if he just approached us and explained that he has a strict policy against stags and wouldn't be able to serve us, but instead he was overly aggressive and sent us out the door straight away where we waited under poor shelter in the rain for our bus to return. What I can say is that Mullingar House in Chapelizod is fantastic with great...
