Papa Rich — Restaurant in Galway

Has to be the single worst bit of Asian cuisine to ever enter my mouth as a chef myself I have to say I was appalled by the quality of the fried rice and the flavor off the food in general was just wrong the sweet and sour sauce tasted old and for how overpoweringly sweet it was it still lacked flavor I am very disappointed with not only the food but the service, If a main comes with a side and you order a side that isn’t advertised to come with it but still a similar price you shouldn’t be charged for the full main and the full side,(ie any other restaurant might offer chips or boiled rice with a main and charge and extra 30c for fried rice whilst papa rich charge you for the full main with a side you don’t get and a full price side portion of fried rice) ,when you didn’t get the side and you should be told this when paying for this underportioned over...

We have been eating at ALL of the Papa Rich restaurants since they have opened….unfortunately now, on 3 occasions they have gotten our order wrong on the Headford Rd…on the last time when we called to flag this with them, the response was so dismissive that we called back again and were met with the same response….lots to be learned here on customer service. When people drive from a distance to pick up an order, and then it’s wrong, this is poor service. When that happens 3 times and you call to let them know in good faith, and they insist they weren’t wrong, that is just foolish. Unfortunately a very bad experience at the Headford Rd outlet. When informed we were sitting in there was a look of horror, pause & mumbling as if we had totally upset the apple cart! Then when we asked to change or just rinse the dirty cutlery that was produced; on return the forks were thrown aggressively onto the table. Glasses of water were not much better. The dish I ordered was prawns & not chicken what was served up. After the cutlery episode being fired on the table I dared not say anything about wanting prawns.
