I live in Renmore and was delighted when this place opened. Unfortunately, the level of service has seriously declined here. So much so that myself and my family and friends can no longer go here. The worst experience was lunch for my Dad's birthday. They got our order wrong, no apology - and we just had to eat half of what we had ordered and the rest never came. What did come was cold. They forgot our cutlery and when we asked they threw it down on the table. No words spoken. We then had to queue to ask for cutlery, once more, for dessert. Btw - we were charged for the food that we never got! Then came the most rude experience I have ever had in a restaurant in my life. We asked for a muffin and a candle as a surprise for my dad for his birthday (just 3 of us at the table). After drinking tea and coffee for a while, I enquired quietly about the muffin. They said they weren't bringing it because they had no candles - but they had not told us? I said okay and returned to the table to apologise to my dad and asked him to pick a dessert. Then they came back to the table to say they actually do have candles and will bring it down shortly. The waitress threw the muffin with two candles on the table without making any eye contact with us or speaking - and stormed off. We (and the other tables) were visibly shocked! We awkwardly started singing happy birthday and the other tables joined in as they had just seen the mistreatment by the waitress. Safe to say they ruined our lunch in a...
Read moreGreat Cafe with REALLY GOOD Coffee and a good food menu which is very reasonably priced compared to some other places, the food is also well presented and very tasty. The staff are very quick with your order as well as being polite and professional and really friendly. It's usually pretty busy which is a good sign that backs up everything I just said. As well as seating inside it also has a few table's and chairs outside for those sunny day's. Very close to the Bon Secour Hospital Galway, Renmore Church, Renmore Army Barracks and the local school's. It also has a bus stop right outside with buses going into Galway City Centre on a regular basis. If you are in the area and fancy a cup of tea or coffee or something to eat check it out if you haven't done so already. Their own baked goods are also very nice and...
Read moreWent here with my one year old daughter and asked for a highchair and felt like I wasn't welcome by the way the staff member looked down their nose at me. Took my table and another staff member came to take my order. Just ordered some scrambled eggs for my daughter and a coffee for myself and again felt like they were looking down their nose at me. When we finished I went to pay via card. Didn't take much notice of the price untill the next day when it was shown on my statement and I thought I was over charged for what I got so I contacted them via email and haven't heard anything back from them which I thought was very unprofessional of the company. All in all my experience here as a first time (and last time) customer was terrible between the rude staff members and lack of communication when I got in...
