Canteen Fine Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Limerick

DO NOT GET A TAKEAWAY HERE AND KEEP YOUR MONEY!! Camile or Lana is much better and more professional !!! Clearly supporting a small business isn’t always a good choice ! We have been a few times it’s always been average enough , nothing to write home about but we’re stuck for dinner on our way home and it was open.

Tonight we got fried rice, chicken balls, satay sauce a portion and then a main of chicken satay sauce and fried rice. It might as well have been all salt it was absolutely DISGUSTING 🤢🤢 chicken was rubbery, no vegetables (which is the norm) the fried rice was half cooked, cold and it all went in the bin.

I rang the staff and asked could I please speak to a manager to tell them about my experience and disappointment that it’s clear we had been before and I said how I couldn’t eat the food and sadly had to throw it in the bin.

They started laughing and speaking in their own language, I asked why they were doing so and asked to speak to a manger - which is highly unprofessional for any business to do. Have some common sense and put the person on hold if your going to be obnoxious.

May - who I could hear them call her , wouldn’t confirm her name when I asked. She also mentioned they never refund any complaints as they would “make no money” - which leads me to think they must be many!!

No way would they give a refund offer an alternative - they actually wanted me to drive all the way back to the restaurant with the food which is absolutely crazy after explaining I have a family upstairs and I couldn’t. I also had mentioned it was in the bin , I offered to send them a photo but they wouldn’t even consider it.

The whole meal went in the bin and it was a total of €24.60. The lady on the phone kept speaking her language put me on hold and then hung up. I had to ring them back. Absolutely Awful experience-avoid at all costs Ordered three spice boxes and it turned into an absolute nightmare, All three of us who ate them woke up in the middle of the night extremely sick with food poisoning The food seemed okay when we got it at first, but something was clearly wrong. We ordered delivery to UL campus accommodation via Just Eat. They rang us and told us delivery would be an extra €0.50 which is payable to driver as it is “so far in”. It is no more than a 8 minute drive which is in their range for the €3.50 delivery charge we already paid. Very cheeky to then add the €0.50 for no apparent reason - we still had to meet the delivery driver at the carpark so there was no additional work required from their part.
