Travelodge Limerick Castletroy — Hotel in Limerick

On checking in we were advised that due to the unseasonal hot weather the room we were assigned was very hot due to orientation and no air conditioning. And no other rooms were available. |We viewed the room and it was like a sauna, poor design of the building meant window could only open a crack.|We were offered another room on the other side of the building which had become available. This room was better and we agreed to take it. On returning to the room the keys did not work, rekeyed and did not work again. |We were then offered a third room, same floor which had also become available, keys worked, room hot but fan was in room. Left fan on, curtains pulled whilst we went for dinner, room slightly better on return but uncomfortable.|There was also a lack of power outlets, which are required in the technology environment we live in.|TV channels did not work properly. Exhaust fan in bathroom was extremely loud. |Overall experience was very poor, front desk staff were very helpful and couldn’t do enough as I assume this is not the first time this has happened. |Will never stay at a...

Absolutely Disgraceful – Avoid at All Costs||||I stayed at the Travelodge Castletroy recently, and it was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was absolutely roasting hot with no fan or ventilation – it was unbearable. Things only got worse when we noticed the toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly, with visible feces still in the bowl. The bedsheets were dirty, there was hair all over the place, and everything just felt unhygienic and neglected.||||To top it off, when we went to use the lift, someone had urinated near the entrance – completely disgusting and unacceptable for any hotel.||||We weren’t even planning to complain, but a separate issue with the car park forced us to call reception. What happened next was shocking – the receptionist was extremely rude, swore at us repeatedly, and even called us “bastards” on the phone. I’ve honestly never been spoken to like that by any staff member in hospitality. It was appalling.||||Travelodge should be ashamed to have a property in this state. I wouldn’t recommend this...
