The place is really beautiful. It is part of a mill, and is in the upper floor. The place has won a lot of awards, but that doesn't automatically give it a five star from me. Here are some things they faltered from. It is upstairs, and disability access is not the best. Even if the building would allow it, the way it is set up didn't make a fulfilling exoskeleton for people with physical limitations. The table layouts are nice and in sync with the name, copper & spice, with copper jugs and so forth, but the rooms are extremely dark, mixed with the old small windows. Seats are therefore bar stools, on high tables, meaning some people uncomfortable seated by the best tables with views. The menu is a mixture between Thai and Indian, and there are claims that things are made fresh there. But, the taste of the food could be better. What I had, under the recommendation of the waiter, was not the food I would want to eat again. There is a lack of knowledge among the chefs who understands the combination of the golden five in taste.

the place is located in Annacoty near the river. The food is very decent, as a group we ordered 4 different veg dishes out of bhindi curry and baigan bharta were very good. The paneer in matar paneer was little hard. Veg Massaman curry was good. Thai green curry was decent but not as spicy as expected. Lamb curry and methi chicken were good as well. The naans were very soft but the chapati were little hard but not that of a big problem. The staff was very supportive and took order very carefully and the support staff and waiters were very careful about cleanliness. The ambience was good as well. Prices are also very good and not very heavy to the pocket. Overall it was a good experience and I would like to come and eat again. Recommended.

Ahh,,,finally had a wonderful Indian food after a long time in limerick. I had a vegetarian thali here, which came with 1 tandoori roti, papad, jeera rice, raita, and the option to choose between sabzi/dal(any 3 of your choice), so I chose bhindi ki sbzi (my favorite), palak paneer, and dal without a doubt. It was excellent. The cost was 22 euros for this thali & I think it’s worth it. The location appears to be far from my home; otherwise, I would have preferred to have dinner here at least once a week.Lol,,of course if they give me some discount:P The employees, manager, and ambience is nice. Good for a casual dining experience. Go get yourself treated with a nice Indian food at copper and spice.😍 Thank you

"A bag of chips will do". You need to have nothing else going on in your life to sample what Copper and Spice have to offer! Other reviews here will tell you the culinary experience is akin to that of a rich tea biscuit plunged eagerly into a piping hot cup of scald. You are transported to a different world absorbing the flavours of India or South East Asia. The reality is had I chosen to crawl to India on broken knees the experience of tasting the national cuisine would have been far quicker and less painful. It took over an hour from the time we walked in to order take away to leaving the place with a paper bag of frustration and korma. We were overlooked several times for people who arrived after us with no booking. Several other take away customers were to been seen deliriously babbling away to themselves in the shadowy recesses of the establishment. 20 minutes in we were committed, we would have left but eye contact was made and a cursory nod of acknowledgment given right at that cut your losses moment of should I stay or should I go. In one moment of exasperation I rolled my eyes so far back I'm sure I saw my childhood. We said we would go for a walk while waiting for our food after our order was eventually taken. When we finished the Camino and returned for our dinner we were again greeted by the most energetic of nothingness. This all looked so easily avoidable. It seems the issue is micromanagement by front of house. I'm sure the one person who was taking payment and seating customers along with everything else is still at the till tapping in week old orders as we speak. Multiple comrades gave up and left with one older man sighing "a bag of chips will do I suppose". Orders not to answer the phone were given multiple times, so if you're thinking of ordering by phone good luck. This is not the first time I've been fooled but the last order was the worst. If management are reading this my recommendation would be to delegate to your staff, they seem plenty capable. The food is nice even when eating through the bad taste left in your mouth by the awful service but to be honest I value my life more. I will miss the band of brothers formed by our shared experiences but in the words of that other mad president "a fooled man won't get...

I would advise anyone not to get food from here.So expensive for non authentic Indian food! This is one of the worst Indian takeaways I’ve ever had.

Our usual choice of takeaways are Swaad & The Mogul in Limerick City, but because we were close by to Copper & Spice this evening we said we would try it based on the reviews.Wow,are we disappointed we made this decision as it honestly ended up in the bin!

I’m not sure how they have ended up with so many good reviews? It is questionable and disappointing. The poppadoms tasted of fish, the dips are of a strange taste! We always order Korma,we order one veg option in any Indian restaurant we go to and we order Chicken Korma too and the Korma consists of the same sauce only it contains veg but this veg korma has a completely different colour to the chicken and tastes more like vegetable stew, which is crazy considering what was ordered.

I don’t normally complain unless it’s necessary and honestly it is as people will only be mislead ordering from here if you are looking for good delicious Indian food!If you want that go to the places I have mentioned previously, you will not be disappointed! We are just so disappointed and quite angry at the fact we spent so much on food that ultimately ended...

Well - 3 stars. Service.... First of all - I'm alway taking it for take away. Food is great and worth returning for it. Place has nice atmosphere, and overall is looking nice. Parking spot could be a problem sometimes. Now service for take away. It happens 3 times to me right now. I'm usually ordering for first empty slot for collection, and it could be 2-3 hours later. So I tought I might order in the middlen of the day so I can pick collection slot whenever I like - drop in collect, after work and go home quickly. This is not working. After forst and second time it happens I was assured that it will be fixed, and there will be no delay next time - here we go - every single time when I have ordered this way I had to wait 15-20 minutes longer, even taking into consideration that I have ordered around 2-3 PM. Obviously other people are just picking their orders no problem on time. Ordering system has a flaw - as kitchen is not even attempting to make my order for desired collection time - when I show up they are preparing it then.... Hopefully next time I will have...
