The food was great. The server was polite. The presentation was not great. Table wasn’t clean when we sat down. Chopsticks were not offered or on the tables. I got a coffee after dinner and the cup was dirty.

Atmosphere was okay, until the owners child came in and sat at a table listening to videos/playing games and it was just not the intimate dining experience you’d expect or pay for.

However, we were shocked to find after paying that they had charged us different prices to the menus we had been given. These were not take away menus, in which case I’d understand if the sit in price were more expensive…. But they were the sit in menus handed to us and all our items had an extra euro or more added on.

If you’ve changed your pricing- update your menus. Disappointing. Or...

Absolutely blown away by our experience at Washoku – this place is a total gem! Hands down the best sushi in Ireland, and we’ve tried every spot. The quality is unbeatable – the salmon is incredibly fresh, and every roll is beautifully made, evenly cut, and generously filled with meat and fish. The chef must definitely have years of experience - you can tell they take real pride in their presentation and ingredients.

The atmosphere is cozy and authentic, and it really feels like a hidden treasure. A huge shoutout to Rita, who was so welcoming, attentive, and genuinely lovely – she made our experience even better. The service was flawless from start to finish.
