Green Yard Cafe — Restaurant in Limerick

The shame about this place is the food is actually quite nice but the service is atrocious. It seems to be just students that are dropped into the job with no training. I have been here a total of five times with my partner and each time there has been something. Dirty glasses with lipstick on them, forgetful service, one time the waitress was lowering the plate and the food slid off onto the table! Not only that but she then tried to pick it up with her fingers! Another time our toast was dropped on the floor. And for the ultimate topping on the cake, we went for breakfast the last time and the waitress (who by the way I did feel sorry for) spilled a glass of orange juice all down my partners back and into her handbag while also destroying a brand new jacket. It's actually quite laughable now looking back at it as it just seems like that we are never meant to be there. I can't believe people are here saying the service is good. It's one thing for a person to make a mistake but for it to happen every single time? I gave 2 because I believe the chefs are pretty good and so is the food. The management could take a bit more responsibility for the staff. Obviously never setting foot...

I went there because there was supposed to be vegan options and there is only 1 option which was a falafel wrap which I don't like falafel so I ask for something like mushrooms and patatos ect... and was told there is butter in or on everything so I asked is there any options for anyone allergic to dairy and was told no ⬆️ this is what I wrote before the reply ⬆️

According to two of your staff and what is wrote on your menu the breakfast options are finished at 12 we arrived approximately 12:50 and where told quote "we are in trouble here as there is only 1 hot option for vegans and that was the falafel" the waitress was helpful and went to the kitchen and came back and said there was butter in the potatoes and you use the same oil to the chips that you use to cook the fish.

I can only go by what your colleagues tell us so we had to leave I would suggest you talk to your colleagues about the issue I brought up before...

I would like to ad to the last review about no vegan options or anyone allergic to dairy that I a employee Denise replied to.

1st we asked could we order from the breakfast menu as there was 1 option that look good, We even asked 2 waitress could we order from the breakfast menu and both said no.

2nd We asked for any vegan options besides the falafal and the lady was helpful and went to the kitchen and came back and quote "we are in a trouble here" she told us we can have the chicken salad without the chicken or cheese.

3rd I asked her for any hot food options and was told no as everything either has butter in it or you use the same cooking oil for the fish and chips.

4th We then asked is there an option for anyone allergic to dairy option and that should work and was also told no.
