Lana Raheen Asian Street Food — Restaurant in Limerick

Twice in a row I've had issues in Lana. This time it was 5 in the evening. Went in with my small children and the music playing was completely unsuitable. Rap with lots of cursing. Absolutely shocking. When I went up to the counter I barely got an apology. And nothing after that. I was avoided. Not even looking at me. If I was the manager and something had happened with a customer I would have at least gone over to make sure the customer was ok. Really really poor service. Decided to give it one more try. What a shambles, ignored after walking in. Sitting for 5 minutes then asked are we ready to order. We didn't even have enough seats for the family to sit at. A table was then moved for us. No water brought to the table. Rude staff. And then ignored again. Ended up walking out. We were in plain sight and the staff didn't move when they saw us leaving so I went back to speak to them. We had a spice box with extra veg which was perfect, gorgeous crispy duck and special fried rice. I’ve updated my review to reflect the usual standard. ——————————————— I am a regular customer of Lana raheen and food is usually great. Tonight I ordered a spice box with extra veg. Usually this comes with peppers, onions, broccoli, all different kinds of veg. Absolutely no vegetables were on my spice box and very little seasoning. The chicken nearly broke my teeth too. Cheap, cheerful and enjoyable. A great spot to drop into with the family and get some quick tasty Asian street food with fresh ingredients. And they are still doing a free ice cream after too so what's not to like. Service always fairly quick so don't expect to lounge between courses lol. As with any service post COVID staff can be a bit hit and miss but in general they are very nice and welcoming. Eating in at takeaway prices and the Kids love going and it always satisfies, super hero noodle is a hit and Thai Garlic and Chilli was excellent with extra chilli :-D.
