Russells Select Bar & Gastro Pub — Restaurant in Limerick

On the 24 of December 21 my self and my fiance was looking for some where nice to eat we came across Russell s and from the moment we entered the place I New this was the place to eat.from the lady at the front door to our waitress s nothing was a fault.We we're seated a a high table across from the bar we're we saw cocktails made before our eyes.We ordered BBQ chicken wings which was was to dye for which was finger licking and the best around by far.Then came the main. Which was out of this world .I my self got the stir fry and himself got the voulvonts with all the trimmings I had 3 pints of creamy Coors light and himself had coke as he was the driver.derek had a dessert with a pot of tea .All the waitress was fantastic and bubble and very chatty and 1 person stood out was Emily she was making sure we were ok and that everything was ok for us she cldnt. Be more helpful as it was our first time in Russell s we definitely will be back very soon .Oh hats off to the amazing chef that made this mouth watering food it was hevean. We used to religiously go to Russell's at least 3 times a month either midweek or a sunday up until covid hit, we then started getting take away on a regular basis..one day I phoned to ask for mash and vol au vent sauce for my daughter an was told I couldn't have it that I could have white sauce i said we always get it and was basically told that it wasnt possible but this once he would make an exception..I was so upset by his attitude and the way he spoke to me that I told him forget it..the next day I thought I'm gonna call back as i was fuming over what he had said on the phone so I rang and asked to speak to the manager only to be told he was the manager and again was so rude smart and ignorant.. We have been back once since and to my amazement my daughter who has autism and who only eats certain foods was able to get vol au vent sauce and mash..such a pity as we were great customers and all the waitresses there are always so nice and accommodating. One of the BEST, if not the best bar resturants in the area of Limerick, been many times, and couldn't fault once, simply great tasty food, at a reasonable price, but it's actually the STAFF that make this place so so good, hidden in the dooradoyle/raheen suburbs, its a gem of a place, for friends, family any gathering,
