The Courtyard Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in The Municipal District of Enniscorthy

This was a surprise visit whilst I was in Ferns. My friend that was with me had said it had great reviews. From the moment we stepped inside the door I understood why. The Courtyard has super friendy staff who acknowledge your prescence as soon as you step through the doors. They are warm, friendly and give you a welcome smile. We knew this was going to be a good experience. I'm on crutches. They recognused this when seating us. I thought this was an above and beyond sense of service. I've been on these crutches and your restaraunt staff were the first to acknowledge this and go out of their way to make me feel comfortable. We sat down and took in the beautiful interior and atmosphere. We were handed me ues and given ample time to make our choices. We hose to have Mains and Deserts finished off with Lattes. The food was presented beautifully and I don't think we left anything on our plates. Everything we ate was delicious. The Staff checked in with us during the meal that everything was okay and if there was anything more they couid do for us. The bill was very resonable for such a wonderful experience. We left to make yhe journey home with full tummys and happy faces. We will definitely reccommend The Courtyard to friends and family. If I were to mark my experience between 1 an 10 for Food, Venue, Staff & Toilets, I would give you an 11 on all counts. Thank you for such a lovely afternoon. We found this place by complete accident. A family drive, decided to take a short cut home, felt hungry and were about to head to a petrol station when we spotted The Courtyard. Coming from Wexford it's the first exit at the Ferns roundabout. We found the food great and service second to NONE! We overheard a conversation between a staff member and a customer who asked for advice on gluten free food, aside from the already many options, the staff member arrived back from chatting with the chef with several more options. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. I was very impressed. My youngest asked for items not on the menu and he was responded to with a smile which gave him so much confidence. It was lovely to have staff respond so patiently when a child is trying to learn the ways of manners, etiquette and appropriate communication. What can I say.....no words can express how good the standard of food is in this establishment. It is deceiving from the outside ,positioned on a corner and does not look as big from the road. Outside has a beautiful arrangement of seating areas amidst greenery which compliments the food and high standard of service. I visited again with my wife today in the afternoon and the chicken curu was delightful tasty and made by chefs of a standard Gordon Ramsey would be proud of. My wife had the chicken carbonara ,it looked and tasted better than any Italian restuarant. I had the apple crumble,my wife cheesecake lifht and fluffy and very tasty. I highly recommend the Courtyard to anyone wabting a good stanfard if foid great portions and class of service second to none.
