Would give - stars if I could. Booked here 1 month in advance and on the day of the booking we looked at the website to check the menu and it said they were closing early. We never got any email or phone call to say anything about this so we called the restaurant to check and they confirmed they were indeed closing a half hour before our table was booked for! I then emailed to say we were pretty unhappy about the fact no one even called us to advise and the lady we spoke to didn't even apologise, just asked did we want to book for another night which we didn't since we were leaving wexford the next day. Only to receive an email back saying that they intended to stay open just for us and WE decided to cancel!! This restaurant clearly don't like taking responsibility for their actions or care much about customer service as they never even bothered to reply to my last email! Booked via website and had no issues. Called restaurant as we were running late, they were friendly and had no issue to change our time. Got a friendly welcome when we arrived and shown to our table. Told specials and our waitress would be with us.

Our waitress was friendly through out the evening. Gave advice and options when my Mam asked to change toppings. Was no issue. We only had pizza with side orders chips / onion rings and waitress was friendly and "that was no problem". Food arrived quickly and looked good, tasted even better. Side orders were yummy and onion rings was a large portion.

When we were paying the bill my Mam mentioned another restaurant we had been with my brother home from Australia the previous week. It cost a lot more and the service and friendly staff was nothing compared to The Kitchen@Gorey . Keep up the good work, and...

Undercooked chicken & appalling service. Unfortunately we tried to resolve issue with two different members of staff and were completely dismissed, with one member spending five minutes handling the chicken at the table to the complete entertainment of another table. We had two people who had undercooked chicken served, each sent back and each denied by the restaurant. The photo shown is of the second & more cooked of the two. The waitress informed us the chicken was cooked that morning and reheated so there was no way it was undercooked but eventually admitted the edges looked undercooked but she’d eat it. After we mentioned this the other staff totally switched off and were so rude. Such a pity there was no manager around. We did not want any discount but only an acknowledgment.
