As a seasoned foodie, I've had the pleasure of sampling some of the finest cuisine from around the world. But let me tell you, this small local restaurant One Hundred Degrees, blew me away with their exquisite menu and exceptional service. We have been five times now.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and seated at a cozy table. The wine menu was impressive, featuring a variety of reds, whites, and rosés from around the world. I opted for the Pinot Noir after the staff recommended, and it was a perfect complement to the flavors of my meal.

Speaking of the meal, the flavors were absolutely lovely. Each dish was bursting with flavor and made with fresh, local, high-quality ingredients. The appetizers were a standout - I highly recommend the soups (we had vegetable and the other time it was tomato).

For my main course, I went with the lamb shank, which was cooked to perfection and served with a delightful sauce. My partner had the steak, which was cooked just how she likes it and seasoned beautifully. Even though we were full, we did opt for the desserts and were not disappointed. The caramel cremeaux and the chocolate fondant, both served with ice cream were perfect.

But what really stood out to me was the exceptional service. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable dining experience.

Overall, One Hundred Degrees is a gem of a restaurant that should not be missed. The wine menu, lovely flavors, and exceptional service make it a must-visit for any foodie in the Gorey area. I cannot recommend it highly enough. I would be shocked if there isn't a Michelin Star...

WINNER WINNER - TASTING MENU DINNER

Wowzer! Wowzer! Wowzer!

The Big Fella keeps picking winners...... Our intrepid Head of Engagement took Mrs BJS for their first time to One Hundred Degrees Restaurant in Gorey...... First time visiting and first time for the restaurants "Tasting Menu"..... Something everyone should do 🤷‍♂️💪🫂

Every Thursday they have this once a week extravaganza........ AND AND yes AND every week it changes lol..... They don't know till Thursday what produce they have. What an inspiration to do....... That's a clever Head Chef who's also the owner.

From Course 1, Salmon slithers, Mooli Radish, Beetroot & Creme Fraiche paired with a delicate Pinot Grigio

Through Course 3 which gave us Italian Veal with Pickled Salad, Tuna sauce and a Red wine/tomato jus paired with a Red Bagolino Italian wine....

Course 6 saw Venison with Roast Celeriac, Poached Pear, Cauliflower Purée, Roasted Onion, local Wild Garlic & a Venison Jus...... a perfect pairing from a delicious Argentinian Malbec

It's a hard trick to please 2 people who have different tastes and capacity to eat lol..... the portions and pairings of food/drink did manage that.....

....... The atmosphere, decor, staff all superb...... Engaging and Welcoming x

What else??..... Oh yeah, just go!! Reverse the trend of going INTO Dublin or anywhere else..... take a drive down to Gorey and experience this first hand 👏

We'll be...

A fantastic meal. We had our starter, main and dessert as hard to resist. Starter we had Baji, Venison, seafood soup, portion was quite big, I thought. We funished every bit of it. Main we had, steak, beef cheek and fish, also amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection even vegetables! We ordered two desserts to share between 3 people, chocolate mousse and sticky toffee pudding, none left on the plates.

We don't drink we only ordered soft drinks.

The best restaurant meal we had in a long time, as my husband said to one of the waiters (the previous amazing meal would be at Ballymaloe, so you get the picture)

The restaurant was quite busy, we went their quite early at 5pm, started to fill up around 6pm.

One of not many restaurants in the country where they actually care about their creations and service. Well done.

Worth every penny we spent their and we will definitely go...

Really good food Really good service What let’s it down is the ambiance - There were a group of 6 middle aged obnoxious rude loud foul mouthed women dining at the same time as us, neither the staff nor the manager requested they keep it down, which should have been done once loud foul language was used. Staff didn’t know how to handle the situation (and were all fully aware of it even the kitchen staff could hear it). We had on arrival requested a table upstairs but were informed it was full. That’s a pity - other diners were unimpressed too.. as I think were staff. Maybe it’s a policy that the restaurant should look into as to how to handle this kind of situation But again really really good food and excellent service….

Absolutely blown away by our meal tonight. This has to be some of the most innovative and delicious cooking in Wexford. Every dish was feast for all of the senses, from the cloud soft goats cheese croquettes to the melt in the mouth slow cooked pork belly, I’m already looking forward to coming back and working my way through the entire menu. The design is inviting and intimate and the service is absolutely first class, striking that difficult balance between perfectly professional and effortlessly casual. Book a table soon so you can be the one to tell your friends how good it is.
