Lovely place with great walks down the river (can walk from here to Rushen Abbey and further to Castletown). Lots of activities for children with a victorian water powered carousel. Don't have hot drinks here as our milk was off with big lumps in it. When we told the staff the issue, they were very rude, and we had to walk away in disgust.

Have been here before and it was really nice. This time, however, it was like playing in the middle of a wasps nest. My daughter was stung and generally people were complaining and constantly trying avoid them. It did look a little like a retro rave at times with all the people wafting their arms around.

Looks to have had quite a bit of time and money spent on the paths between Silverdale and Ballasalla. Three different paths to choose from, accessible by wheelchair or pram but I imagine would be a bit bumpy over the compacted stones. Lovely and peaceful through the wild garlic - dog loved it too !

I had a deeply disappointing experience this morning. A grandmother and her young grandson purchased ice cream and a hot drink at the café. Shortly after, the child — displaying typical behavior for a two-year-old — became upset and started crying near the door. After a few minutes, a man, who I believe is the owner, came outside, asked whose child it was, and upon hearing it was the grandmother’s grandson, stated that he could not have a crying child there and proceeded to close the door. This level of rudeness toward paying customers is completely unacceptable, particularly at a café located next to a playground and supposedly catering to families with young children. I have rarely encountered behavior so insensitive and...

A beautiful place to visit with our 9 month old while on holiday on the Isle of Man. There is a lovely duck pond with peddle boats on you can hire, a nice little cafe and alternatively plenty of places to sit for a picnic. The water powered carousel was wonderful. The walks alongside beautiful streams were idyllic and I wish we could've spent more time there. Unfortunately a couple of negatives as the only toilets had no soap, which wasn't a pleasant thought and made me glad I carry antibac hand gel, and lots of the picnic benches and parasols outside the cafe were broken so they could do with...

The place could be amazing but it is so run down. The park and the old roundabout are fab but the cafe and the toilets are awful. The cafe looks clean enough but the staff don't smile, they don't engage and are just shocking to be honest. The toilets are really bad and don't look like they have been cleaned in years. There are cobwebs all over the floor, no soap in the dispensers and barely any toilet roll. The toilets themselves are awful, not flushed, smell of urine and is actual excrement in some of them. It is such a shame as it's such a...
