Benedict Modi'in — Restaurant in Modiin-Maccabim-Reut

Great place! Open 7 days a week, serves awesome breakfasts and more. A part of a restaurant chain, but everything is on point - complimentary bread basket and spreads, good coffee and cocktails. Service was very good, everything we had tasted fresh. Update, June 2021: Coming back after covid19 - the place is packed and busy which was great to see. We came on a Friday morning, waited a couple of minutes for a table. The staff was very efficient there. The food was very good - salads looked a little pale, but tasted fine. Very good produce. We came with a toddler and ordered pancakes - we got them well after we finished our food... the staff was helpful and very nice about it, but it was obvious the they forgot about it. A spontaneous decision to have brunch at Benedict on Yom Ha'atzmaut paid off. It's not easy to please our 10 yesr old son, but he gave it 10/10 and said he would love to go back again. We had a superb meal, a very friendly, helpful and English speaking waitress, Hagar. We had a brief chat to the manager on duty who was very friendly too. I will admit all interactions with all the staff were brilliant. I cannot fault them on anything. When another customer asked if the manager could do something about the sun shining in his eyes while he was eating the manager promptly had a staff member assist and moved a very large umbrella. שירות מזעזע! ביום שישי האחרון הגענו בעלי ואני סביבות השעה 15:00 לארוחת צהריים. חיכינו לשולחן, כשהשולחן התפנה ראינו שהוא על הדלת וכל הזמן פותחים עליו את הדלת ויש שם רוח פרצים. בעלי ביקש שלא יושיבו אותנו שם כי אני בהריון והוא לא רוצה שאני אשב על הדלת עם הרוח פרצים. המארחת (להגנתה) אמרה "אוקי אבל זה יקח זמן". ישבנו, חיכינו, ראינו שהתפנו כ3-4 שולחנות בפנים... רק אציין שהיינו היחידים שחיכינו, לא היו עוד אנשים חוץ מאיתנו. בעלי שאלה האם נוכל להיכנס כי הוא רואה ששולחנות התפנו. היא אמרה שזה שולחנו ל4 ובגלל שסירבנו לשולחן שהיא הציעה לנו אנחנו נמתין לשולחן של זוג. בעלי ביקש לדבר עם המנהל (כי אנחנו לקוחות שמגיעים כל הזמן וכבר מכירים אותו). המאחרת נכנסה פנימה, יצאה ואמרה שהמנהל יתפנה ויגש אלינו ו"האם בינתיים נרצה לשבת בשולחן אחר?". אני, שלא הבנתי למה הכוונה, האם היא מושיבה אותנו בשולחן ואז נקום? או האם היא מצאה לנו שולחן... שאלתי אותה "למה הכוונה לשבת בשולחן אחר?" תוך גלגול עיניים היא אמרה לי "מה? לא שמעתי אותך", אז שאלתי שוב את אותה השאלה... היא שוב לא שמעה... אז הגברתי את הקול. המארחת אמרה לי "מה את צועקת עלי?" בעלי ניסה להסביר שזה לא שאני צועקת, שאלתי פעמיים בקול נורמלי, היא לא שמעה אז הגברתי את הקול. תשובתה של המארחת הייתה "מקודם היא מלמלה, לא שאלה בקול נורמלי". מעבר לתחושת הזלזול והפגיעה לא הייתי מוכנה לאכול שם, אז קמתי והלכתי... התגובה של המארחת הייתה חיוך מרוצה, נפנוף ביד ו"ביי ביי". על כך בעלי עצר והסתכל עליה.. תגובתה הייתה "אל תסתכל עלי". בקיצור, רגלי לא תדרוך לשם שוב וממליצה לכולם לחסוך לעצמם חוויה מזעזעת ולא...
